  1. I will get some pictures put up tomorrow, and yep the TPMS sensors were a straight swap over
  2. Hi Steve2006 Thanks for the link i will give them a call tomorrow...
  3. Lexus came back to me today ... I can pay to get them to fix it and then they will submit a claim to Toyota Belgium head office and they might do something but in short this will not happen so waste of time paying Lexus Belfast £700 to change both callipers as such will do it myself and try to fix it. The worst thing is even if I was to get new ones from Lexus more than likely the problem will re occur... Thanks for everyone's help and advice I will let you know how I get on repairing it myself
  4. Well Having fun with Lexus UK saying not covered under warranty on a 2007 GS450h with 38,000 miles with a full Lexus service history and i have to pay to get the work fixed. £350 / Caliper Lexus Belfast want unless they can unstick them (we all know what will happen here) Lexus Customer Service UK Said they will submit a claim to Toyota in Belgium and see what they say but it can take 2 weeks +/- The girl on the phone @ Lexus Customer Service UK says its not an issue in the UK and didn't even read the PDF which i sent just made her own mind up based on the notes they had on my ticket with them .... and not to believe what i had found on Google lol See the attached PDF from Lexus USA which i emailed to them, its a great read, and tells you the issue and how to repair and replace at no charge to the customer. What a Joke ! Only wished i had found out these problems with the Lexus before i bought it arghhhh Does anyone have any information or a PDF showing this issue from Lexus UK so i can send it to Lexus customer support ? Lexus Calipers Issue.pdf
  5. I agree ... I think I will look at it myself at the weekend ... Do you know if you need any replacement parts like rubber seals or anything ?
  6. They say the car is out of warranty as it's March 2007 ... I did not take out extra warranty with the car
  7. Hi Guys So my 2007 GS450h has got two seized brake calipers on the rear which i need to replace (or fix) but im sure the dealership is more inclined to sell new parts, i was wondering are there any other calipers on the market which are better than the OE Lexus ones as from what i have read they don't seem to be that good? Also car is March 2007 with 38800 miles but Lexus Belfast say its not covered under warranty, some people have said on the forum they got theirs replaced by Lexus what is the case here as Lexus Belfast say no ?
  8. Hi So this Thursday or Friday I am getting new wheels fitted to my car: 18x8 with Goodyear Eagle F1 ASY 2 Size 245/40R18 18x9 with Goodyear Eagle F1 ASY 2 Size 275/35R18 Will be nice to get a wider rear tyre for that staggered look. This is the wheel i am getting on: http://www.performancealloys.com/wheel-details.aspx?id=2556 What do you think ? I will take some pictures and post them on this thread for everyone to see...

On a side note im getting new wheels put on it on Thursday / Friday and will run 18x8 front (same as OE) and 18x9 rear with 245/40R18 Goodyear Front and 275/35R18 Rear so looking forward to this... will try and get some pictures up.
  10. Have a 2007 Lexus GS450h and the value broke so i had to get it replaced... Parts: New valve and fitting kit £74.86 Labour: £119.70 Total cost £194.56 to get it fixed... great value for money don't you think ? The TPMS sensor can only be got from Lexus so you have to buy the parts there, they also said that it took so long as they have to reprogram all sensors and plug there kit into the car not to mention take the tyre off the alloy wheel take out old sensor and put new one back in fit and balance the wheel. See my broken valve / sensor attached... Just thought people should know about the huge cost !
  11. thanks for the reply will try and get that done tomorrow... the trouble is that 275/40R18 is not that common and it is not made by michelin where as with the 245/45R18 front and 265/40R18 you can get the pilot sport in both sizes... i will have a look around and see what is the best tyre option in terms of size, price and availabilities. I got the car in Southampton as the prices in n.ireland if you can get the car you are looking for are normally more :( Anyway will try and get these tyres arranged soon and get some good pictures put up.
  12. HI, My Gs450h is 2007 and currently only has 25,000 miles, the guy who owned it before me worked out of the country a lot hence very little miles when i got it :) As for my MPG on the centre console it says 27 to 28 mpg on average, but i drive it in sport & hybrid power mode alot and dont really get to do many long runs or motorway driving as i live in N.Ireland.... when i bought the car in Southampton and drove it to stranraer in scotland to get the ferry back home it was motorway all the way and the best i got was 31 or 32 mpg mid you i was averaging 80 - 90 mph on the motorway... Other than this i think the car is great, one issue i would have is that mine dosent have the aux port if you wanted to plug in your ipod... it seems to have came in the later models.
  13. Hi Guys, Have just bought a Lexus 2007 GS450h and have a couple of questions maybe someone can help me with ? The current tyre size is 245/45R18 all round and I want to put on wider tyres at the back, has anyone done this and if so what option did they go for ? 245/45R18 front and 285/30R18 rear Has the rear -3.1% smaller rolling radius or 245/45R18 front and 275/35R18 rear Has the rear -4.1% smaller rolling radius 245/45R18 front and 275/40R18 rear Has the rear -0.1% smaller rolling radius the rear tyre size is not that common. But its looking more like: 245/45R18 front and 265/40R18 rear Has the rear -1.3% smaller rolling radius as the tyres are easier to get. I currently have bought some 18x8 and 18x9 alloy wheels and will get tyres shortly and will upload pictures with the new wheels on as soon as I decide on the tyre sizes... Here is a picture of the alloy wheel design I went for... I think they will look great with the car see profile picture ... was taken at the ferry in Stranraer after a 6 hr drive from Southampton Lexus... Great dealership btw :) I got them from this company http://www.performan...ls.aspx?ID=2556 Another issue I have is does anyone know how to disable the bloody beeping sound for when you dont have your seatbelt on ? Thanks Rory
