  1. Always nice to see a Soarer in good condition, thanks for posting.
  2. The only reason I sold was because I moved to the US. If I had stayed in the UK it would have been fully restored.
  3. Beautiful Soarer. Pic of my TT sold some time ago unfortunately (would be interested to know where it is these days).
  4. Hey Connoor, My 95 TT required a rear fog light conversion (carried out by JEM). In other words it did not have a rear fog light. The JEM conversion was tidy, I think they used the existing light cluster so there was no additional light and they found some switch that was already present in the car but unused so that became the rear fog switch. Hope that helps. Mark
  5. That's got to be unique for the UK. Any plans to modify?
  6. Post some pictures of your progress? Had to sell my Soarer eight years ago, it was an awesome car.
  7. My Soarer is the twin turbo. Thanks for the detailed information.
  8. My Soarer has been stationary since November 2010. Aside from the flat battery, what precautions should I take before attempting to start the car or should I simply give it a go? Thanks for your time. Mark.
  9. I think the official figures are 280 BHP and 6.5 seconds. However, for reasons I won't go into right now, I believe these were understated. I would say my TT has over 300 BHP and does 60 in around 5.6 seconds. Its certainly still pulling at 160, I also hear it will do 170 - 175 flat out.
  10. Am thinking about having my Soarer resprayed (as the paint is peeling off). Can anyone recommend a colour (along with the details if possible, so that I can order the same)? If you have any pictures to back up your suggestion that would be great. Personally, am thinking dark grey and found Galaxy Grey from House of Kolor: http://www.houseofkolor.co.uk/colours4_glamour.html Thoughts? Thanks for your time. Mark.
  11. My specialist is probably to far away, nevertheless, I have my Soarer serviced at JEM in north west London: http://www.jemservice.co.uk/ Mark.
  12. Does the informal Japanese agreement to restrict power to 280 BHP mean that the Soarer actually has more than that as standard (certainly feels that way)? Mark.

    Failed Mot

If you can be bothered to drive then JEM (North West London) specialise in Soarers and will give you an MOT no problem: http://www.jemservice.co.uk/
  14. I believe the red button allows you to put your car in neutral when the engine isn't running so that it can be towed. Don't know what that second switch does originally, but on my Soarer I had a conversion so that it operates the fog lights. Mark.
  15. Hello, I was under the impression that the turbo Soarer was never made with a leather interior. However, my turbo does have leather, which I thought perhaps was bespoke, but now I've found the following car for sale with an identical interior. So either the turbo did come with leather, or perhaps both cars are bespoke by the same company? Can anyone shed some light? Thanks for your time. Mark.
