  1. I was on the bypass on the way home from work and I was doing about 70mph, A Vectra wizzed passed me and I thought bugger it and put me foot down. (It's an Auto LS400 by the way) Instead of changing down a gear my car felt like it went into neutral and just revved out! ****ting my self I took my foot of the Gas, and it went back into gear no probs, put my foot down again, same thing happened? Me starting to get worried I slowed down, but I needed to do it once more. This time it did change down but when it went back into the higher gear it really jerked in. Been fine since that though, doesn't feel like it is a gearbox problem, feels more like electrical, something telling it not to change? Any Ideas? Bison :zee:
  2. I wasn't trying to funny mate, just the way I typed it I guess, Bison :zee:
  3. If your on about www.lexls.com then I found this site ages before you discovered it, but thanks anyway. P:S they don't have info on Bottom Fog Lights only Headlights and main beam. Bison :zee:
  4. Mate listen, It is Saturday afternoon, I have a stinking cold, it's about -6 outside and is getting dark, did I mention it rained earlier and the wet ground is icing over? I've tried opening them before and struggled, they are a pain in the rear. So to make life easier I thought someone on here may know the answer. Is this ok? Bison :zee:
  5. I have a 1993 LS400 which as most of you may know has Yellow Fog Lights on the front! Now I for one think that they look vile. I have recently upgraded my Headlights and main beam to new (HID look White/Blue) Bulbs and what an improvement in looks and performance. Now I want to do the same to my fog lamps. Does anyone know if it is the bulb that is yellow or the inside of the glass or is there a yellow cap on the bulb? Also is there any instructions on changing these things? it does look very complicated! Also what type of bulb is it? Your help and advice is always appreciated. Regards Bison :zee:
  6. A lady walks into a Lexus dealership. She browses around, then spots the perfect car and walks over to inspect it. As she bends to feel the fine leather upholstery, a loud fart escapes her. Very embarrassed, she looks around nervously to see if anyone has noticed her little accident and hopes a salesperson doesn't pop up right now. As she turns back, there standing next to her is a salesman. "Good day, Madame. How may we help you today?" Very uncomfortably she asks, "Sir, what is the price of this lovely vehicle?" He answers, "Madame, I'm very sorry to say that if you farted just touching it, you are going to s**t yourself when you hear the price." Bison :zee:

Not only that but Housing as well, I am 24 and I am in a good job, 10 yrs ago on my wages I could have bought a 4 Bed house in a nice area, now I can't even get a bedsit! This country is a joke and something needs to be done. I might do something silly, but I don't know what yet? Hmmm GCHQ is round the corner shall I go F**k with the secret service? 12. You are spot on mate! Now i'm all confused? what do I go for? The cap or the Batcap thingy? I do not want to spend much at all, my system sounds fine the only reason I want it sorted is cos the dimming is annoying. So what should I go for? Bison :zee:
  13. Cheers Geoffers, Do you think I should just get a new Battery anyway as I do not know when or If the current one was replaced. Also I know bugger all about power caps, can you reccomend one that will not break the bank? Cheers for the Input Bison :zee:
  14. I have a 1994 LS400, Now I have had my sound system in there for a month or so now, and I am starting to get some power problems. The problem starts with the system, it's a juice drinker. 2 x 15" Kicker Solo Baric Square Subs. Powered by a single Audio System Twister 1000watt RMS amp, Now I listen to a lot of R n B & Hip Hop, Also Drum & Bass so I get those big bass drops that draw a lot of power. Right I have owned my current system for a while now and no probs in my Vauxhall Cav V6, My Volvo T5 or my Mondeo V6. So now I have a proper car I am wondering why I am getting the Problems. When I first installed it the only dimming of lights I came across was on the Alpine Head Unit and slight dimming of the headlights when the Big Bass drops occurred. But just today I have noticed the Climate control and all the warning lights flash when the bass goes mental, it really is drawing a lot of power. I have never used a power cap, but it is something I am looking to purchase however this problem has only just occurred today and hasn't happned before even though the system has been in the car for a over 1 and a 1/2 months. The battery has been tested and I have been told is ok so what could this big loss of power be down to? And is the Power cap the only answer? p.s I use 4 gage Power and earth cables. Bison :zee:
  15. You can find full details and fitting instructions, including photos here > Head & Sidelight Fitting Instructions Hope this is of some help Regards Bison :zee:

  17. I found a set of wheels for my LS400 but I'm not sure they will fit, they are 20" Jaguar wheels. I think they are off the XK8 but I'm not sure if they will fit ok or not or even if the stud pattern is the same? Anyone know?? Bison :zee:
  18. It has been over a year since I added any pics on this site, I would like to update my pics to my current car, but have forgot how to do it. Also everything on here has changed since I last did it so could someone please remind me (talk me through it please?) Bison :zee:
  19. Kit just arrived this morning, fitted it already, good instructions with it, but was a bit of a ***** to fit. But with a little Gentle persuasion in slid in there. nice kit as it happens. Looks the nuts! Bison :zee:
  20. Im thinking of getting rid of my Lexus even though I haven't had it long. I'm getting a hesitation when accelerating away from a stationary position. No one knows what it is, I reckon it will be expensive to fix, I know it's a silly little thing but It's doing my head in and I don't want to live with that. I've cleaned out throttle body to no avail, any suggestions before I put it up for sale and start looking for A Volvo V70 T5? Bison
  21. Hi all, I'm looking to upgrade my headlight bulbs, (Dip and main beam) Firstly I would like to know what type of bulbs fit 1993 LS400, cos i haven't had a look at them yet, (lazy I know). Secondly I would like to know what are the best to go for. I understand that normal bulbs you can buy are around 55w, I have seen a few on ebay for 6500k, is that 65w? I definately want something brighter and would prefer something with a blue tinge to them, not this really blue gay looking ******* that you find on Billy Boy Nova's, but something bright white/blue with a bit of class, ya get me? Your thoughts and suggestions as always, much appreciated!! Bison :zee:
  22. Just wondered what the legalities are on the color of indicators in the UK? As most of you may already know, in the USA, when most cars indicate you will normally see the rear side lights flash off (red) instead of a new orange light starting to flash. Or just see a red light flash with the side light remaining lit. Basically, I have tinted the orange part of my rear lenses on my LS400 to Red. This vastly improves the overall look of the rear of the car but obviously my orange indicators now flash red. I hvae indicated about 3 times in front of a following police car now and have not been pulled. I am right in thinking that this is legal then as many American cars come standard with red blinkers?? PS Did any of you read my post about having orange side lights at the front of my car? Some of you said it may be illegal. And the Police Officer that pulled me wasn't sure. Since this I would just like to point out the new Land Rover Discovery!! Has Orange side lights at the front! Standard from the factnory!! Bison
  23. Who would be up for going? we could get a convoy and take the LOC to Belgium?? Bison
