  1. For a 23 year old I think I've had my fair share!! 1, 1984 Vauxhall Nova 1.0L 2, 1986 Vauxhall Astra 1.3L 3, 1987 Ford Escort 1.6 Ghia 4, 1986 Ford Escort XR3 5, 1988 Ford Orion 1.6i Ghia 6, 1990 Vauxhall Cavalier 2.0 4x4 7, 1990 Ford Escort XR3i Cabriolet 8, 1991 Ford Granada 2.0 16v 9, 1992 Vauxhall Cavalier 2.5V6 Auto 10, 1994 Honda Accord 2.0Esi 16v (Loved this one) 11, 1995 Nissan 200sx 1.8 Turbo 12, 1995 Volvo 850 T5 (One Of the Best!) :D 13 1998 Nissan 200sx Tourer (2.0 Turbo) 14 1998 Peugeot 406 2.0 GLX (Bag of Poo!) 15 1991 Lexus LS400 16 1989 Ford Sierra Cosworth 2wd 19 1998 Rover 620ti 20 1994 Lexus LS400 (My Current car) Plus a few runarounds in between and some that I can't remember. These are all sort of in order 1st to last Had particular fun with the Cav V6 (4x4 Doughnut Machine), The Grandad (My first Rear wheel drive Hmmm Drifter!) The Accord (Had this onto 18's) The Vovlo was a beast! Full s/s Exhaust Rims and Coilovers. Real Touring car! (I would have another Volvo if I get rid of the Lexus!) Obviously The most fun to drive was the Cossie, Purely cos The ***** end would come out when you floored it in a straight line! Loved getting the ***** out round the roundabouts as well. It's the most fun i've had with my pants on! Regards Bison :zee:
  2. Watch it Boy I'm English Cypriot, My Dad lives in Cyprus. And I want one of them, Looks Gangsta inside! Regards Bison
  3. Yes mate, That's why I did it all. Like my mechanic friend who also buys and sells, A FSH, does not mean Jack ****. He knows of Lexus and Other dealers who say they have done the work when they haven't. Frightening to think that this stuff still goes on. Think about it. the guy who buys his new LS430 for £60k 9 times out of 10 knows jack **** about the car he's driving. He just books it in and picks it up and says "thankyou MR Lexus Servicing guy" then just plods off home. Not knowing things are right or not. To the average guy, my Lexus would have driven like a dream, but to us car enthusiasts who know even if there is something slightly not right, we would have picked up on the very slight problems. Thats why you change the plugs/leads etc. For your peace of mind. Becuase you know even if it says it's been done in the service book which mine has, You can't always Guarantee it has been done. I will of course be taking this up with the Lexus Dealer who said they have changed the plugs not so long ago. Not mentioning any names of Dealers yet. Obviously for legal reason I'm going to investigate this further and listen to thier side of the story. I'll keep you posted. Andrew
  4. I recently bought my second LS400, I love the car to death but I knew it wasn't quite right. Slight hesitation when pulling off bit of hesitation between 40-50mph, and just not as smooth as it should be. Now we all know that the Lexus is the smoothest drive in the world and thatys how it should be. After much research into what could be causing the problems I took it to my local mechanic and family friend Who works on Jag And Lexus for a job and Drives a GS300 Sport! He knew straight away what to do. So today we got to work, New set of plugs for a start, mine were filthy and the gap was huge. basically they were shagged. Then we took tthe air filter housing etc off and looked at the throttle body. It was coked in Black carbon deposits it was so bad it had to be scraped off with a screwdriver. loads of brake cleaner later we had a free moving Throttle butterfly and a shiny silver throttle body. All that back together and it is now driving absolutly mint. smooth might I add as a baby's bottom. Still the gearchange under load isn't as smooth as it should be, i:e not spot on but he says a gearbox oil change and some proper settin up and the car will be like it come out of the factory, As he said it's gotta be spot on, why put up with it otherwise. Just goes to Show that they need to be looked after and they will look after you. Don't be tight get ya wallet out and do the tricky jobs, it's well worth it!! Bison

  7. I'm looking for a set of clear bumper lights, does anyone know if there is a vender in the UK? If there isn't one here, no worries, I am going to the US in a few weeks and might pick some up over there, If I were to do this, would anyone be intersted in purchasing some off me? Obviously I'll have to work prices out. But I', not going to bring a load back if there is no interest, so If you want some and I do get them from there let me know if your interested. Regards Bison :zee:

  11. Just wondered what the difference is between the 3 sets of Lowering Springs that you have for the LS400 91-94?? I am after the ones that will make it the Lowest, looking for the biggest drop possible, also need a much firmer ride, it's to much like a boat, so something stiffer. What would you reccomend? Regards Bison :zee:
  12. You can get it from halfords claire, it's in a reddish tin, make sure you get the foam version though, it's so much better. Don't forget the WD40 after!! Bison :zee:
  13. I've done mine hundreds of times, best thing I find, is Use GUNK!! Make sure it's the foam version, spray a whole can round your engine bay and leave it on for a soak for about 5 mins, Jet wash the GUNK of whilst the Engine is running!! as soon as it is all off, drive down the road at 80mph to dry it off for about 10 mins then when you get home spray WD40 everywhere, and this will make it nice and shiny and will also soak up any moisture that might cause problems!! I've done it many times with no probs!! Bison :zee:
  14. What oil is the best to out in her?? HMMMMM.... Bison :zee:
  15. I'm getting a slight hesitation when pulling off, don't think it's engine, any ideas?? could it be gearbox, i've heard they are indistructable on the LS400, would it maybe need a service, if so what does this involve and how much am I looking at? What oil to use? Bison :zee:
  16. Anyone know how to get rid of the squeak?? Brakes aren't in need of replacement but they are just squeaky, its doing my nut in. Bison

  18. Yeah I must be the youngest LS400 driver!! being only 23, But hey I love it! picked my Girlfriend up from clubbing the other night, pulled up outside the club, couldn't help over hearing a group of lads "Check that Lex out, That's F*****G Gagsta S**t!! YESSSSS............ LOVIN IT!! Bison :zee:
  19. I fail to see how I'm ruining the new car by putting a nice Alpine system in and replacing all the components with nice crisp new speakers? At the end of the day the Lexus had a good state of the art sound system, but remember this was 10 yrs ago, now I need Bass and Treble, I am a DJ after all, I want a club on wheels, with a nice Alpine touch screen head unit and screens in my headrests, Plus it's my car and I'll do with it as I wish, Trust me, when you see it lowered on 20's with the system in, on The LOC stands you'll be drooling. If I'm brave enough it's gonna be A Lowrida to!! Watch this space........... Bison :zee:
  20. I need a surround for a single din head unit, I know nobody makes them here, and I know that in America they do one for a 95 on LS but mine is a 1994, does anyway know of anyone who can make one at all, or know of a website deatiling instructions on how to make one?? Bison ;)
