  1. Always thought going to 100w was a no no from days gone by where it caused issues with overheating wiring, and I think they are not exactly legal either, hence going for the 80w .... bit of an increase but hopefully without issues .
  2. well I didn't want a HID kit, just better lighting from a bulb replacement, these have done that by being brighter and a crisper white, so I'm happy with that, and my drive to work tonight was so much better, no flashing from oncoming cars too even though they are higher wattage than standard.
  3. well they are much better than the standard HB4 units that were in there before, my main beams are HB3 ... yours different then ?
  4. Ok thanks for that, now I know that type should work ill get back to the seller to see what they will do.
  5. This is the listing for the bulbs to see which bulbs they are http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/270927326071?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  6. yes I tried them both ways on both sides as I'm aware of the polarity issue with led bulbs, still no joy ... seller mentioned some resisters might be needed on some cars to allow T10 bulbs to work, this is the main point I need to clear up, has anyone fitted this type of 501 led bulb without any issue to a is200 ? if so then I can go back to the seller with a kind of deffinate " your bulbs are **** " statement
  7. Anyone any info on the following I purchased some Hb4 xenon 80w dipped beam bulbs and some led sidelight bulbs, now the dipped lights are much better, brighter whiter light, so impressed with those, but the 501 led sidelights that came with them do not work at all .... contacted the selker who stated some cars need different led's to work, they supplied T10 versions according to the advert, are these the right ones for the Lexus? Anyone fitted led sidelights and can confirm what type of 501 bulb they fitted snd worked.

Yes im aware of that , but i did say that an option was to get a set to refurb at my leasure yours is £100 plus and then colour change on top even with a new tyre included .... lots of other things the wife would rather spend my money on at this time if year

Well I've sourced 3 alloys in anthracite that need to be refurbished to be mint, one more would make a set to match the colour on all 4 rather than trying to match the 3 to one of my good ones currently on my car ..... gregers I think your one will be out of my budget range to be fair for a mint new one and then having to get it powder coated on top as I only paid £60 for the other 3.
  10. Can west Mids be added to the location list as the only local one available to me is warwickshire and I don't live there!!
  11. A.mot is a mot no matter where its done as there are rules and regulations laid down that have to be adhered to, so actually passing one matters not where its done saying that prices vary greatly from what independents charge compared to main dealers so that bit brings options and choice.

Prices people ..... a couple of mine are decent but at least two are corroded in places so don't really need a full set But the set in silver that need to be refurbished could be of interest too.

I'd like some alloys in better condition than mine, or in need of refurbished which I can do at my own pace, but they must be like the ones below
  16. Might remove the copied discs in mine then, working fine at the moment with 5 discs in but if they dislike them that much I don't want to take the chance.
  17. If cooling was an issue, the air flow from driving would solve it much like cooling the radiator ...... washers are there just to clean the lights and non hid cars have those too.
  18. They may well fit, I don't know, but to me one of the best thing about the is200 is the way it rides, and to my mind fitting 19 " wheels and 35 section tyres will ruin that, not the answer you were hoping for I'm sure.
  19. Panel filter will always work better as its isolated from engine heat soak, an induction kit might well sound better though, depends what you want to achieve.
  20. Was it only the is300 that had hid's fitted as standard? ..... did any of the 200 get this feature?
  21. You seem to to be doing OK so far, that looks a nice one you have there .... welcome
