  1. If anyone is after a red one, just spotted this which is very cheap for these! 1:43 HPI RESIN #8412 LEXUS IS F (Red Mica Crystal Shine) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/292123220662
  2. The Lexus boxed ones were made by HPI Racing and were discontinued a while back as I got in touch with them. Hence all the ones on eBay that are left being £150+. They are the best quality ones out there though. the J Collection ones look ok and at £11 worth th gamble. I have put one in my birthday list so will let you know what it's like if someone buys me one! :) other JCollection models J have seen in the flesh have been good quality. i am am desperate for a white one, even though I no longer own the car. Shame no one made a 1:18 scale, they are all 1:43. The only white HPI one J can find on eBay is £250!
  3. It is on paper 4.7 for saloon and 4.8 for the touring, but reading on the forums a guy V-boxed his touring and using the launch control achieved a 4.4 Stonking stuff and the main reason I went for this to be honest as I really didn't want a BMW or an estate hahaha That kind of pace along with low to mid 40 mpg, cant be too bad, I guess I will miss the soundtrack though!
  4. I have gone for a 335d touring F31, it has Xdrive as standard. 0-60 in the 4's and realistic early to mid 40's mpg, I know it's a BMW, but it would do everything you wanted and be more than fast enough! The conundrum I have gone through is similar to yours and this is where I ended up after looking at all options.
  5. Had to make the same choice a couple of weeks ago. Very sad times. Still as you say needs must. What did you go for?
  6. It's the white one 10 plate on auto trader, went for a few hundred off the asking. Just to give you an indication of market values. I may have priced it too cheap given the interest, but I was happy with the sale and also the chap it went too, he loved it as much as I did!
  7. I only put it on auto trader to start with and it went it in pretty much 2 days, so didn't get a chance to try out the rest!
  8. Stu I didn't let him test drive no, he fully understood that too. I took him out on an extra long blast though at all different speeds and using the different modes and he seemed happy with that. He left me a good size deposit through online transfer before he left that eve. We then arranged for him to come back Saturday as I had to put plate on retention and he had to move funds around. He then came back on the Saturday and sent online funds again to the same account for the remainder which is instant. Once I could see all the money together as the full agreed price in the one account, I gave him the keys, did the docs which is all online now and instant, he did his tax, I gave him a walk through of the controls and off he went! All safe and slick. Wouldn't do it any other way in future.
  9. Thanks guys! Was a particularly quick and effortless sale and good price too, so hopefully that is a good indicator for you guys wanting to change in the next 12 months, I had a lot of genuine calls, but the first guy to call the night the advert went up came 2 days later and bought it then and there for near enough asking. Maybe I priced it too cheap??? But I think he just knew a good deal and knew it was a rare model and colour. Anyway I'm happy and he is happy which is great! I have actually called the dealership this morning to find out what the difference will be to change my order to a 335d as I think it will always bug me! Fingers crossed!
  10. So my lovely 2010 white IS-F has gone, she will be missed and we all shed a tear as she was driven away by her lucky new owner. Great guy called Adam hopefully he will join up so the car can stay on the forum. Have had an amazing 3 years ownership and she never caused me any issues, such an epic car! Thanks for all the conversations, tips advice etc over the last 3 years, a friendly and very exclusive club to have belonged too! I have put an order down on a brand new shape 330d xdrive M Sport Touring, with M Sport+ package and every other box on the options list ticked! Got a great deal so I just kept ticking! Only thing I'm wondering if I should have done was go for the 335d instead! Car should arrive in September. Hopefully this won't be goodbye forever, just a couple of years, but that GS-F is looking tempting for then. Bye for now and enjoy your amazing cars!
  11. No insurance then no test drive, happy to drive them myself, but wouldn't take the risk. You?
  12. Was it a good car Steve? Been looking at the SQ5 version as the MPG seems great but it is still a 5 second SUV which I think is great. But also looking at the Grand Cherokee and Toureg
  13. Oh sorry fella. That is a shame. That's where I am heading next year. Sports car in the garage and my wife's car for abuse. Yep big shame, but it had to happen at some point, going to be very sad to see her go. Been looking at the SQ5 this week, seems a good bit of kit and still got some pace! My Is-F is up on auto trader now, the 2010 white one, so it really is going, had a lot of interest and it has only been up a day, so the market for them seems buoyant!
  14. Twins? Haha I think you have me confused with the other chap on here who just had twins. Luckily I only have one little one! Really don't want to sell it, but as a one car family I need something a little more practical, so will have to join the Chelsea tractor set and then add a new toy to the stable in a year or 2, hopefully an R35 GTR that can sit in cotton wool in the garage until I'm ready for weekend blasts! Still I wish I had bought one a couple of years ago, they seem to be appreciating already!
