  1. Thanks :) Yeah I went with the 0.5W after speaking to the electronics manager at work. he ordered me all the resistors/diodes so it didn't actually cost me anything to get it working :) the only trouble is, because he ordered the bits as "samples" I have hundreds of them going spare in my glovebox!
  2. For those who are interested I installed the circuit into the car today and it works a treat! I have loads of spare diodes/resistors if anyone needs them, just drop me a PM or post on here :)
  3. Hi Guys, I've done a lot of digging and turned up some rather interesting stuff on getting the sat nav working with my new head unit. I a bit of circuit diagram from the inside of the OEM head unit and it appears to loop back to the sat nav to get it to work correctly (although without sound apparently, no bother to me, I don't use the sound anyway!) and if the loop is incomplete the sat nav doesn't work. the bit of circuit I found and where to attach the wires is here: I managed to find the bits I needed as: 2 x 100R 0,25W resistors, 1 x 68R 0,5W resistor, 2 x 18v 0,2W diodes I have managed to source 2 x 100R 0,25W Resistors from work and have managed to blag a 68R 0,5W resistor on the next order from work so I'm 2/3 of the way there in terms of materials. I'm having trouble finding an 18v 0,2W diode though and I'm not sure how much of an issue it would be if I used a 0.5W diode (I can get these readily from work too!). Can any of you tech guys offer some advice if using a 0,5W diode would be ok or a definite no no? Once I've got all the bits I'll keep you posted how I get on, if you're interested that is!
  4. Hi guys, I'm sure this has been covered a few times but I can't find anything which helps using the search function. I recently fitted a 2DIN screen into my IS200 Sport and found out that the navigation no longer works. Are there some wiring changes which I need to make in order to get the navigation working again?
  5. Good find :) I'm still waiting to get my IS200 Sport from my Dad as his new CT is having to be ordered in from Japan :( luckily his has the Aero body kit on it already and I've added the front arm rest and grom audio for when I get it. Just a shame he smashed 2 of his wheels meaning I had to source some replacements as cheap as possible so he can drive it, managed to find a full set of RX8 wheels which are currently off for refurb before they go on the car. If yours doesnt have the front armrest, keep an eye out on ebay, they crop up quite often :)
  6. give this guy a ring, I bought my armrest from him, he is a lexus breaker so it's worth a shot :) Ricky - 07866 104047
  7. Hi guys, I know I haven't been on here long but I just bought an armrest off ebay for my Dad's (and my soon to be) IS200, I spoke to the seller and he said he has 6 (well now 5) in stock. I just searched for "Lexus IS 200 armrest" and it came straight up :) I know these are hard to come by so I thought I would drop a post on here for anyone interested. Jez
  8. Cheers :) yeah I must admit I do feel rather lucky!
  9. Hi Guys, I'm new here and joined because I regularly find myself here after google searches on the front armrest upgrade for the IS200 (apparently a sought after upgrade). I will be getting my father's IS200 Sport when he upgrades to a newer Lexus and I can't wait :D It is pretty much OEM but with a Strut brace, K&N air filter, handsfree kit fitted and some different wheels (still Lexus). When I get it I would like to add a Grom Audio connection for my iPhone and also the front centre armrest (if I can find one) after that, who knows! Anyway, here's some pictures of it just in case you're bored of reading Dad's Lexus by Jez Bradshaw Photography, on Flickr Dad's Lexus by Jez Bradshaw Photography, on Flickr Dad's Lexus Badge by Jez Bradshaw Photography, on Flickr Dad's Lexus window etching by Jez Bradshaw Photography, on Flickr dads lexus by Jez Bradshaw Photography, on Flickr Also, my watermark link is now dead, the new one is jezbradshaw.co.uk if you're interested in looking at my photography
