  1. Maybe it comes with a boot full of brown paper bags you can hand out to passers by in case they feel sick....!
  2. Hey guys, I'm forever sitting on my car key in back pocket and I'm sure I'm gonna break it one day, I was thinking of getting a flip type of ebay and putting the guts of one of mine in and getting the blade cut . looking @ one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS200-GS300-LS400-RX300-3-Button-CONVERSION-Flip-Remote-Key-Fob-Case-/180912829346?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Safety_Security&hash=item2a1f3eb3a2 Has anyone done this, and is it as simple as getting a blade cut and using the internals of one of my 3 button keys?
  3. You carry on A_lex. . Mine all works 100% apart from that lit up area. So not hugely bothered right now, plus ive found out today it might be covered in the warranty i bought with the car. IanS200 sells good stuff so go for it. :)
  4. Hi Guys, It appears that the right hand side on my heater control has had a bulb go, see pic , didn't notice it until last night, and like all little things I seem to notice it all the time since then! does anyone know what type of bulb this is and if it is relatively simple to replace. Cheers
  5. Cheers, Might get on the phone and try some hard bargaining, after all, I did buy the car from them.
  6. Chris, when did you have that 10 year done at Bristol, did they give you a price without the key, as ive heard a new key, coded etc can be £100 plus which makes your service price much more appealing then the £490 I was quoted..
  7. I'm still undecided to be honest, my ten year is not due till march, and I'm only on 78k, so got a few months to think about it, part of me wants to keep Lexus stamps, but the other part wants to save money, knowing that I plan to keep this car for a good few years yet (unless my lotto numbers come up) I'm swaying towards having it done by a local garage, as when I come to sell it on it will be 12 + years old, and seeing the price they go for now, and with a next gen IS out soon, the price (sadly) will only go one way!
  8. got my figures wrong, just dug out my quote, was £490 for 10 year service.!
  9. Wow!! I had the 10yr/100k done at Lexus Bristol and bought a new master key and had had it coded. Bill for the lot £412! I think this goes to show they can quote people different, shame they don't just have a Menu style pricelist!
  10. I had a quote from lexus for a service plan, work out about £27 a month for next two + odd years plus a upfront of £396 for the first 80k service due soon, to be honest having a full lex history may or may not be useful depends when you might look to move the car on, generally you will find that once cars get past the ten year age mark (im not saying yours is but might be when you bid farewell to it) that a full dealer history may not make a vast amount of difference to what you may get back when you take into account age/mileage. might be worth looking around at other garages, I did and found I can have the ten year service (or 100k whatever comes first) using Lexus / Toyota parts for £225, Lexus Bristol quoted me £478 for this. My service book will still be stamped, and all same work done, just depends on whether your happy to pay a lot more for the same work to have a Lexus stamp in your book. If the car was brand new I would most likely use a main dealer. but each to their own.
  11. I Must admit to being surprised, I took Lionel out yesterday in the snow, didn't plan too but a mini emergency arose and I had no choice, I put the snow button on more so to humour myself and got around quite well, although the traction control light had a good workout! I have just had two new rear tyres put on ( P-Zeros) not for snow or winter purpose, just needed 2 new rear ones as were getting thin, whether that had anything to do with it I'm not entirely sure. we've had a fair bit of snow down here in the south west.
  12. I know you probably know this already but not normally a good idea to tow an Auto, it would need to be rear wheel raised at least, You say you want the cheapest way to sort it, with all the potential costs involved it may be better to go through insurance as your excess may well be less, although claiming my affect renewal premium of course.
