Why not just pull the tpms sensor out, and replace the Battery, put it back in and reprogram it? Some people have done that.

If I was to sell it, I'd rather sell it to an enthusiast, because I know he/she will look after it like I have, but if your interested, do let me know, knowing my luck, the gs460 will be sold, and in that case, I'd keep it

Qamar. Will you really really sell your car do you think 😰
Are you handing in your Licence and never driving again ? 😂
Malc
To be honest, I only wanted to sell it to buy the Gs460, but I drove the ls400 I think last week and it still put a smile on my face, so I'm not sure now lol

I bet 2 lollipops and a packet of Murray mints Qamar doesn’t sell it 😀
Bear in mind the chances of ever getting another one in the same condition is close to zero which you will want a week after selling it.
You could be right, i drove it on Saturday and it put a smile on my face

Guys, I might be putting my ls400 and my little suzuki swift for sale, I'm still thinking about it.
I got my eye on another Lexus, and I know I cant keep 3 cars.
My ls400 is a dhp, and lpg converted, the lpg is behind the filler flap, no holes in the body. I've owned it twice, bought it back in 2020, since then I've had the cambelt and waterpump replaced, serviced every year, new rear upper arms, ball joints, inner and outer tie rods, new spring, new wheel bearing, new rear handbrake cables, new Battery, sparkplugs, air filter etc, its green, and in good condition, it does couple of Mark's here and there, if I was picky, there are 2 stone chips on the bonnet and I think I would get thr bonnet resprayed, it's not bad at all, but I'm just being picky. It passed mot last month, this time with no advisories, I was so happy with this, i have been using lanoguard since after last years mot, and its dealt with the surface rust underneath nicely. It's done I think around 114000 miles, dave at lex tek knows my car as he was the one who fitted new cam cover gaskets and drive belt and got me a spare key, so I have 3 keys for it
As I say, I'm still thinking about it, I hardly drive it, only on long motorway journeys to Scotland to see my little daugher

Thanks Malc but our experiences of back street garages are very different. Either you've been very lucky or you're a better judge of character than I.
I'll phone a garage with a good reputation. I used them once before but they're very expensive.
Thanks for all your help but please don't shout; I'm only li'le 🤏 (and car-clueless 🚗🤷♀️).
Not sure where you are, but try lex tek in Sheffield

The shocks, get them from rockauto, way cheaper than lexus and they last a long time, I know of 2 people who have bought them from there, a 3rd actually went for traditional suspension from rockauto on his ls430, he actually likes it

Hi, have you used these bearings before and do they last well? Only concern with aftermarket ones is past experience of them wearing down very fast. Are there any aftermarket shocks that you could recommend?
Cheers.
Yes I have, remember, toyota/lexus dont make bearing, companies like skf, delphi etc make them, skf are a very good brand

Lexus air shocks were about £900 each 3 years ago so probably more now. Arnott are the only aftermarket ones I know of but because they're made differently you would have to buy a pair. Lexus offered me a set of 4 genuine ones for £2,800 but again, that was some time ago. I see Rockauto do the Arnott ones for £445 each or FSC (don't know who they are) for £390. You've got tax and shipping on that. In the end you're probably better just to go to Lexus for everything, it'll give you peace of mind
Tax and shipping is not and it will still be way more cheaper than lexus main dealer
-
Well it's not really a Toyota wheel bearing, they dont make them, they just stamp the toyota name on it.
Get an skf bearing from rockauto £300 for a bearing from lexus is daylight robbery, get an skf bearing from rockauto, they are around £70, get delivered to uk within 3 days

I'm sure Rockauto in the USA has the part you need, and through fedex, you will receive it within 3 days

Yep, told you, lol, the open and close functions worked on 2 ls430's I had

Dont put a cover, it will ruin the paint work, even breathable covers are rubbish
