    Hi I have a 2000 ls400 and have just noticed a very small leak coming from the drivers door tweeter. Is this common problem and how would i fix it? Thanks in advance

    It looks that dodgy charactor is selling yet another Lexus. This time its a 2005 ls430 for £3000 on ebay, but if you go onto Gumtree hes advertised it on that aswell, but if you scroll down on Gumtree, the same car is advertised for £2500.

    Thats odd because they wont even a starter motor if an ls400 is on lpg. Maybe its easier working on the ls430

    Your right there steve. Lexus dealers wont touch it if its on LPG.

    You can get the coolant from Lexus dealers for around £7. With regards to losing coolant after the cambelt has been changed, i do know from when i had an ls430, well i had 2, and when the dealers replace the cambelt they also replaced the radiator at the sametime. Dont ask my why. They didnt charge anything extra for it, but did advise they have to do it when replacing the cambelt on the early ls430.

    I think hes asking too much for that ls430 given the millage. Ive seen some before with around the same millage selling for under £2500

    Mike, i have read up on the Rx because i wanted one myself, what put me off was they have a gearbox issue.

    I have an idea. Buy an ls400, you want get any issues like the one your experiencing with your ls430

    Hi dave This guy is from Dudley in Birmingham. As i mentioned before he sold an ls400 to a friend of mine saying it wants for nothing and its mint etc. It turned out it needed front wheel bearings. So i wouldnt trust him

    That guy your talking about i think is from Birmingham, he sold an ls400 to a friend of mine recently and told him it was in mint condition and wants for nothing. When my friend bought the car, he drove it and could hear a loud humming sound, turned out it needed new front wheel bearings. So i wouldnt trust him.

    Well i found out what it is. It the right hand side y pipe. I caught abit of it on a stupid ramp, and lipped a tiny bit. But it looks like ill have to buy a whole y pipe as i cant get that one piece separate

    Yes i remember this one. I spoke to the seller, he said he knows hes under priced it. He said he was only selling it as hes bought an ls460, and regrets buying it as he said the ls400 is a better car

    Yeah i will get it checked. It does sound rattle type of sound. I took it to one mechanic today, and without even putting it on the ramp he told me to rev it, so i did and he said it sounds like its blowing

    Hi Steve Thanks for your reply. The sound from mine is coming from drivers side front. I hope it is heat shield. If that front bit is blowing slightly, do you think that will be expensive to replace?

    Hi guys Wonder if anyone can help. I have a 2000 ls400, on start up and when i put my foot on the gas i can hear a slight rattle coming from the right side front like underneath the drivers door ish. Could it be exhaust slightly lose, or a bracket etc? I dont think that part of the exhaust is blowing. But if it is blowing, is it an expensive fix? Thanks in advance

    Hi guys I dont know how to put pictures up, but its a nice blue in colour with cream interior, 102000 miles, cambelt etc all done, lovely condition, even the alloys are in mint condition, i paid £1900 for it.

    Yeah, ive been after an x reg for ages. The guy at the lexus dealers did say these are the final ls400 and the value is going up on them. But i dont think ill sell this

    Hi guys Well theres me saying ive lost my job and cant afford to run my w reg ls400 and then i go out and buy a mint x reg ls400. I couldnt resist it. It was a main dealer px, the guy there told me not to sell it on as the value is going up on these ls400's now. Its really mint. Only downside is i dont have the leather pack with service book etc but a print out instead. And it did come with 3 keys. But apart from that im really happy.

    Thats one of the first ls430's. I used to have a 2001 ls430 after having 4 ls400's. Hated the drive on the ls430, sold it and bought a late ls400.
