Sounds like you work for them, either that or skoda drivers arent that fussy.
The one i bought had just wires coming out of the back no plugs, the ipod adaptor was just a small usb adaptor, and everytime the phone rang the ipod went back to the main menu, that was before it wrecked my ipod.
The radio had so much interference you coudlnt hear it.
I bought a pioneer, all plug and play. perfect sound, all works as it should.
Yes they are those dodgy stereos sold on e.bay, i wouldnt buy another one, they might look good, but thats about it. Im glad they dont do one to fit the Lexus
Hi Amy welcome to LOC :)
In my opinion, go for the 250, with the auto box, from the reports on here the 220D does seem to have a few problems, plus its only available in a manual.
I would suggest test driving both, and them make your own mind up, but the 250 auto is a very nice car to drive.
John
Ive heard of it, when i worked for toyota, they used to supply it with new cars, instead of a tin of touch up paint.
You just peel it and stick it over the scratch/scuff etc.
Not any more mate, job has been done this weekend :D
Just ordered a Toyota paint stick from Lexus Leicester in my colour code to do the stonechips before I go to town on it, was a tenner, and then ordered a paint pen from Taiwan for 4 quid - thought it's gotta be worth a go at that :)
With a scuff, unless you want to spray the whole panel, your better off with what you have orderd
If i get a chance at the weekend, i might remove it again and have a look, just as a thought, does the orange wire just connect to one of the illumination wires in the dash,( ie ac/heater controls etc.) which then tells the pioneer unit the lights are on and dims it.
There is a setting in the pioneer main menu to switch the dimmer on and off, so that when the wire is connected it does dim.
I couldnt believe the price, either. £42.00 all in.
I fitted them to mine on saturday morning, can def feel the difference.
Trudi, im told the NGK ones you were looking at are ok, but dont last as long as the gen ones.
IMO pay the extra few pounds and get the gen ones.
I found this ad on the bay, and have bought and fitted them to mine, well pleased.
They are the genuine item, £7.00 each incl, free p&p
He has approx 30 left, so get in quick, i ordered mine on thursday, arrived friday morning
HERE
I agree totally, modern engines are built to much closer tolerences, so take a lot longer to loosen up, approx 10k, unfortunately customers arent always told this, so they expect to get the quoted mpg after 1000 miles.
But it does appear that the modern fuel systems are getting cleaner, but has an effect on fuel economy.
Sounds like he's having a nightmare to be fair!
Move it back to Billing and it's 30 acres
Only problem with Billing, it looks like its fully booked this year, for an event of this size.
