    Lol started a little short story section here,good info tho,yea u can set the valve thing to b open all the time,if u go on the lexus is200 facebook page one of the guys has done it,very hard to get to tho he said.

    Im pretty sure the vvti is nothing like the vtec system on the honda, as I mentioned above the little surge u feel in the lexus is a exaust type valve opening,nothing to do with the vvti,vvti is to do with the computer learnong ur style of driving to produce the best performane/mpg for how u drive,(i might be wrong)

    Sorry to bump an old thread but I have just came across a company saying they can remap my is200 to 175bhp. Ialso thot it wasnt possible, im sure il be corrected if im wrong but u are all talking about how the remap above made the vvti kick in earlier but the surge at 4.5k is nothing to do with the vvti. Its a valve in the 'exhaust?' Or somewhere near opening and letting in more air, the vvti has nothing to do with switching cams.

    If you come by carlisle/gretna u come through Hawick which is where I stay. Carlisle road is more motorway,newcastle to jedburgh road is a bit more fun :)

    Need a drivers side wing and the bumper sprayed,although dipping the car white in the summer so might just leav ed it the now. Are you coming through the newcastle or carlisle way?

    yea I know that bit but I just wondered why this apexi filter was so cheap compared to the regular price? Do u think its just a good deal lol?

    If you just type apexi filter into ebay the top item is only 16 odd pound,is this the right one for an is200? Seems cheap,i thot the were around the 70-90 pound mark?

    it feels better today actually,its been on for 3days now. Yea its diffinatly given it more of a kick when u get up the revs, ok al get that cold air feed on and a box made, see if it kind of evens it out a bit,thanks for all the advise :)

    Yea,wen u put the foot down it some times feels restricted, like wen u have the snow button on.i havent reset the ecu or got the cold air feed on yet tho.

    Ooo good info :) yea it was just for that induction sound,i know theres no performance gains on an untuned engine. I have a cold air feed waiting to go on, u have any idea what the sometimes restricted feeling might be?

    Look good,did u read the bit that says customs charges etc are payable when u recieve it from the courier?
