Hi, Im getting really high pressure on my top radiator pipes, and after about 20min of motorway driving the temp goes mantal, So I thought it could be the water pump or thermostat, so I got them changed but still the same thing, when I have the lid off there is a small amount of smoke coming out of the rad, and the top pipe gets hot not the bottom, and when I shut the rad the pressure builds and no water cant get round as the bottom pipe is still cold. my mechanic said it sounds like its the head gasket, now I have 122700 on my clock, but I see that this a common fault and people have been having the dealers do it for free, its been looked after by lexus all its life in Lexus in Bury, so does anyone think I have a chance of them sorting it out, since they have been dealing with it all the time, they would have seen something like this happening, What do I say when I go in, as im rubbish at this type of stuff, Also I have rust forming under the aint of my bonnet, and If im not mistaken that's covered by the 12 yr warrenty? Im assuming theres too much pressure and its not allowing any water through so my mechanic said its probably a head gasket, now I have approx 122700 on the clock, I see this is a common fault and people have been getting it done on gratis?, As Ive just recently bought it and its been looked after by Lexus in Bury, so do I have any chance of them sorting it out since a main dealer has been servicing it since it was purchased and tbh im very surprised they didn't pick it up. And what do I say when I go in? As they must be trained to counteract everything you say. Also I have rust forming underneath the paint on the bonnet and its bubbling, I have a naggling feeling that that is covered by the 12 year warranty am I correct? Any thing would be great as im feeling really really sick at the moment, Thanks

So checked all fuses and nothing, all is running as it should. I'm guna see if I can get it plugged in tomoz. Steve2006 where is the servo? Is it swappable?

Interesting. Il check the fuses tomorrow. The cigarette lighter fuse box is under the steering wheel. I've tapped off the fuse box for my satnav and mates phone so it's all wired up behind the dash. So It might be just a bit 2 much power being drawn. Thanks. Will update when I've tried it.

Thanks for the reply, I unplugged the battery all day whilst at work, and unfortunately no change, is there away to check the servo? where is it? and if it is the servo is it expensive? cheers.

SO I was driving around and my aircon and blower was working fine and u can switch it from feet blower, to wind screen, to normal face blower, But now when I start my car the button for the windscreen blower flasher for like 30 secs then it allows me to turn the blower but only for the windscreen, not anything else, it I can press the buttons to change it to a different setting but it still only blows on the windscreen, you can hear the fan blowing like normal but its like the switch over thingy bob is not switching over, any reason why? any help would be great. Hello,I'm trying to extend my stock stereo as I've built in a after market double din. But when I cut the wires I had them in the right order till my mate dropped something and nudged all the wires mixing them all up so I've sweetted getting the wires extended from scratch. I have the on board comp that u control from ur steering wheel control running and the actuall stereo is working as it powers up but it's the fan system that's not working, and I'm wondering of anyone has a basic wiring diagram so I can print it out as there's a few wires that look exactly the same. hello, So I have a crude set up for my DAB in my car and have got all the wires hard wired and running behind the stereo, but I want my double din in, I have seen pictures of people who have done it, and That's what I want, Does anyone know any one who knows anyone who can get the kit, I can do it and as im doing it I can take pictures and put it up so people can do it their selves. Its just im tired of the rubbish DAB signal and no Bluetooth hands free. Ive never had any problems with my double din, Any thoughts would be great. Im tempted to remove the stereo from the dash and put a double din cage in and see weather it will fit and then find a way create a trim, if I do I will tell every one as im tired of scanning and scanning and not getting anywhere.

When I cleaned it out I had the battery disconnected so it should have reset it then? Coz it wiped the average mpg and stuff.

Hello, I recently cleaned out my EGR valve, but now im getting lights up on the dash and it says check VSC, Any reason why that's coming up? Also its like theres less power when im putting my foot down. Im hoping I haven't damaged the EGR, but I cleaned it really carefully. So any thoughts would be great.

Rumor is crap, beakes are gorgeous. Cars great, I do prefer my old engine for smoothness and power but my pocket is preferring the fuel, when u get it go on eBay and get a K&N panned filter, so much better pull away, clean the egr valve, have a full service, and honestly put zx1 oil/fuel additive in. It's amazing.

Hi im going to buying a is220d BUT I heard that the breaks are awful, which is surprising. Can anyone advise me as im going to be going up on Friday and don't want to waist my money. cheers.

Hello, I'm going to be buying a is220d but I want it put my aftermarket double din pioneer in it as it's in my is200, any thoughts on the situation? Can it be removed and if so does it need a harnis or facia? Cheers

Hey Ian, took my car to the garage, and the are baffeled, there's no power coming to the fuses but when we provide power to all 4 head light fuses and the relay plug bingo the lights come on, but nothing else. so im taking it to a lexus tec on Friday. more flippin money.

im taking it to my mechanic in the morning, il have his mate to look at the plug. im not doing anymore bridging. might take my battery off and let the ECU reset itself. see if that works.

checked though im confused if the dips are working when I flash my full beam. how can the fuse been blown?

right an update, did the bridging and there was a spark and now my headlights are non existant, u get full beam and dip together when u pull the stick towards you, but nothing when u just want dip, so I drove home just now on fogs, not the happiest bunt. any thoughts?

regarding getting to theboot if you lean in the far top left there is a rubber boot u can push wires past.

right this is what i did I got a case and blade from ebay then took it and my original to Guardian security, totally wonderful people, they scan your old one then merged your old one with their one on file as obviously you will have slightly warn barrels so a merged one will fit tightly and smoothly. And voila. I actually bought a second hand key on Ebay as well with a second hand chip, I chucked the second hand barrel and put the chip in the newly cut key with both keys i programmed in the second hand chip to my car now I have 2 keys. Stay away from Timpson, shoe people should stay shoe people!!!

him I used gardian security, i took my original down, they scanned it, then used the 3d image they had in file, then merged the 2 images, as he said if he made a brand new copy it wouldn't work a the barrel is warn it would get stuck, so when i got back to the car it worked perfectly, and I put the 2nd hand transponder in and programmed it to the car bingo it worked fine, so now i have 2 keys. if u want the reprogramming sequence i used mp me and il send it to you.
