I'm guessing it depends where you live, our CT has improved slightly, mid 40's is the long term average, rarely over 50mpg (may be once or twice in 2 years). But the car rarely runs on battery and its very hilly / narrow roads where we live, in fairness a none hybrid car would probably suit our area better. But its a nice car to drive, understated, and the mpg is OK.

Perhaps the issue is the parent group as the issues we had. was with the sales team at another Sytner branch, it was so bad I wouldn't buy another car from them regardless of how good the deal was. Shame really as the car is proving to be very capable if not as 'green' as it should be.

Not quite on thread but does anyone know a good supplier of touch up paint - weve got a couple of stone chips that could really do with protecting. Just a bit nervous as arctic pearl looks many different colours in different lights - may not be too easy to get a good match

Ok we'll have to put up with the annoying beep. I will ask on the service but won't get my hopes up and see if the local dealers are more customer focused. OH has gone out with 3 friends and they have commented how comfortable the car is on a reasonable journey, I think trying to get five adults in was just being a touch too hopeful given the CT is a fairly compact car.

Can the reversing beep be turned off without going to the dealers? As we had an extremely poor experience with the dealer I do not want to have to return it more than necessary. Shame really as it has tainted my opinion of Lexus as a brand. The car is proving very comfortable, easy to drive, not as economical as others as others on here (now at 49mpg so not to shaby). Don't know where the online reveiws have come from that criticise the ride quality / engine noise as we have no issue with the ride quality and yes the engine is load if thrashed but so are most others. We did struggle to get our luggage in the boot last weekend (only two of us plus dog) and then we tried to get 5 adults into the car - what a joke - pointless really having the middle belt as its only really suitable for 4 adults if they want to travel in comfort.

Having had the car for just over 2 months now, its not a bad car, in fairness some of the reviews are harsh or don't represent daily use, I found a company car reveiw site that was quite upbeat about the car and that was probably the most accurate review. Its an easy relaxing car to drive and comfortable to boot, were not finding the ride harsh even on the 17" rims but the tyres are yoko's - we'll see what it rides like on the lease companies favorite Michelins when they are due for change. The economy isn't proving as good as the audi diesel even being used locally and its a lot worse on a run. Its very likely I'll go back to diesel as I actually prefer the driving characteristics of a good diesel car and I have had significantly better dealer experiences with bmw / audi.

picked the ct 200 as a company car due to the tax savings. the car is good generally - comfortable, easy to drive, well spec'd, but the boot is tiny, the back seat looks cramped but OH was out with 3 friends last weekend and the two in the back commented how comfortable the car was. mpg currently early 40s, it can be noisy when revved hard but soon quietens down. personally I prefer a diesel - faster, more economical and possibly cheaper in the first place but higher taxed for a while yet but when the diesel premium goes on company cars I think the main advantage of the ct has gone. it was a good choice but would I pick it again - no back to audi / bmw next time - all down to the dealer experience (probably the worst ever)

Have you tried Lexus on line - they were very helpful (couldn't get answers out of the supplying dealer as they couldn't / wouldn't respond to questions) and tried to resolve my queries quickly.

I had read the 'bad' press reviews about the CT Fsport but chose it for company car tax reasons. We don't find it uncomfortable in the front seats - not sure the same could be said of the back seats! The ride quality is acceptable to good on the roads down here in Cornwall (actually better than a BM on runflats). The car is comfortable for long runs on the motorway, just not as frugal as a diesel. The car is easy to drive and quite relaxing once upto speed, however it can get fairly vocal if pushed hard. The sat nav is excellent and has located some fairly out of the way places around the coast, its just fiddly to use. I'm finding the fuel consumption poor at 44mpg and no I couldn't justify the £31500 price tag of the car sat on our drive either. I wouldn't hesitate in suggesting the CT to others as a company car option, however I would add a reservation about the dealer experience I have encountered to date is nowhere near as good as it should be for a premium quality car / manufacturer.

Like you I picked the Ct200 as a company car due to the tax advantages, car plus fuel card for less than the old car with no fuel card. Previous car was faster and certainly more stylish, and in my view better finished (maybe not so well built and definitely had reliabilty issues) but the significant economies (tax wise) of the CT plus it being a more compact car appealed. It makes a great choice for company car drivers. I was advised that with certain models some of the extras were really advantageous to have - sat nav, reversing sensors and a metalic / pearl paint and in fairness adding them had little effect on the monthly lease cost. The sat nav is proving to be very good so far, its found some pretty out of the way down here in deepest Cornwall - just a bit fiddley to use. When we spoke to our local dealer they were saying 3 months in October last year. It was ordered at the end of October for delivery beginning of March 13 as that was when the lease ran out on the previous car. It actually turned up late April via the lease companies preferred supplying dealer [can't understand why as they clearly demonstrated that they have no interest in customer (driver) satisfaction so it can only be cost ie cheapest]. Neighbours friend has a CT and that was souced via a local dealer and it was about 3 months (July / August time last year)

Good luck with your choice. We choose a CT200 Fsport after our experience with a very helpful local dealer, the supplying dealer was the complete opposite - worst experience of a car dealer for a very long time (even worse than pushy secondhand car dealers). It was a lease car sourced via their preferred supplier, its a pity we can't feed back to Lexus. We had the car towards the end of April, to be fair its saved a big chunk of money on comapny car tax, we wanted something anonymous but well put together, nicely equiped, low tax, automatic and easy to drive. The car also needed to have hill hold assist as we have a sloping drive to get on / off - the way its described in the manual is a faff but its proving very easy in use with only the occassional negligable roll back. To be fair the CT has provided most of what we were looking for in a car . We are still finding gadgets / gizmos that we didn't know the car had. The downsides we have found have been minor really compared to the dealer experience- yes it can be a bit noisy on rapid acceleration but you soon get used to it its slower than a diesel but still quick enough in every day use the sat nav is very good even round here - just complicated to set up. we have the sensors fitted and it feels like there should be two extra in the middle on the front so you can park close to walls etc. the parking brake is strange at first but after having an electronic one this feels better. the boot is small but it stops you taking loads of stuff you don't need. no power socket in the boot - would be useful mpg - could be better 44mpg running locally and 46mpg on a run. Would we pick it again - No due to the fact we can't choose who supplies the car. If the car proves ultra reliable over the 3 years and our local dealer proves to be brilliant then we may change our mind but as of today it would be a German made car next.

Why not just accept the wheels are going to get damaged and replace them later if they do get damaged. Are you sure keeping a CT for 8-10 years is a good option, they have lots of gadgets / electrical components etc that will breakdown over time. Not sure I'd want one after the warranty has expired.
