  1. Other than sat nav, zenons and and extra 20 bhp, is there anything else that the MkIV had over the MkIII? Everyone says that MkIV is the one to get, but does this unfairly overlook the MkIII? You can get a decent one now for no money. I would interested in the insight of those that have had both models.
  2. I quite like the old cars too. Not too many left so be quick and £500 will probably get you what you want. Shame really. The leather on the early cars is by far the best.
  3. A high miler with lots of history and moolah spent on it will be a gem. Forget about the mileage, look for the history
  4. Guess what? Yes, the 400 has been listed AGAIN! Another 1 day auction http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-LEXUS-LS400-4-0-TITAN-SILVER-METALLIC-/171021230568?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27d1a8e1e8 This must be a real lemon
  5. On another 24 hour auction! He has sold 4 cars this month and got 3 negative feedbacks from them!
  6. I bought a new E320CDi Sport in 2009, had pretty much every single option it could possibly have. Nice car, no soul. a 1991 LS400 has so much more 'feeling' in it. Trust me, you will be bored in 6 months, I was and got rid just before the warranty finished last year.
  7. Spot on, it's been relisted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1996-LEXUS-LS400-4-0-TITAN-SILVER-METALLIC-/171020055100?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item27d196f23c I smell something fishy. And I'm not talking about the contents of Baldrick's apple crumble
  8. You will lose about 10% of your mpg and save about £2.50 a gallon, say 10p a mile or so. So 10000 miles and you have covered the conversion costs. But you will have to get the lpg system serviced which will be an extra cost. To be honest I wouldn't go for a £1000 conversion, you should spent twice that for a decent prins system if your going to do it. I guess there is the question that how long will it take you to do 15000 miles for you to roughly break even? There is also the point of view that lpg lexus's never 'quite' run right, something 2 different people have said to me.
  9. I dunno why but these 93/94 cars (i think they were) are my fav yet I have never had one? Anyone here like to whet my appetite and tell me the good, the bad and the ugly?
  10. Hi, Firstly can the super long life 'pink' coolant be used in a 2001 430 engine? Or must you stick to the long life 'red' stuff? If not, what is the recommended change interval for a flush and coolant change after 100k miles on the red stuff? Thanks
  11. Yep, when I get a chance I will post some up in the Soarer section. Mine's a very late (94) UZZ32. Number 838 of 873, can't be many of the other 45 made after it left these days. Plus thanks to the glorious Steve Smith of the Soarer Sanctuary the hydraulic suspension and 4 wheel steer work perfectly. Mine also has parking sensors, heated seats Auto Airpuri (dunno if you can still get the stuff for that), electric sunroof and the lovely black interior. I previously had another UZZ32, great cars, should be in a museum one day really.
  12. Funnily enough, not. Bloke at the end of my road has a UZZ31 and in another part of town a guy who owns a hotel has a UZZ31 and 32! Sandown is the Soarer capital of the IOW! Mine's the best tho!
  13. Tell me what I am letting myself in for! I actually wanted an LS400 but this was a deal too good to refuse.
  14. Hi all, I have a UZZ32 Soarer (yes, I know it's a Toyota) but I may have an LS400 coming soon. I have had to put my location down as Hampshire because there was no IOW option!
