  1. i did open the case as i was curious but inside the case a black rock solid resin has been poured inside to encase everything so the only way would be to destroy it and start hacking it apart and chances are i wouldnt know what i was looking at anyway, must admit i have had mine fitted for over a year and it works flawlessly, i have ordered another for my wifes car today as i really rate them and the seller was spot on, supplied instructions to fit and must admit without them i would never have figured it out but with them it was a 5 min fit and boom the nav came stright on, full marks to they guy who designed and made them
  2. If any use to anyone I have noticed the listing has appeared on ebay again for the person who makes and sells the sat nav activation modules for the is200 when the headunit is replaced they DO work and are easy to fit as I have bought one in the past and use one in my car just thought I would let people know they are on again as last time they appeared they dissapeared as quick as I wanted another for my wifes car, got one this time tho lol cheers
  3. you can buy a module on ebay to fix your black sat nav screen issue, search ; lexus is200/300 sat nav flip up OEM screen activation module there easy to fit and work flawlessly as i have used one myself hope this helps
  4. hi there, does anyone have a stereo wiring diagram for a 2004 is200 se, i have removed the headunit and it only has 1 plug into the headunit as my older one had 2 plugs, I am trying to find out which wires is the canbus tx+ and tx- wiring, hope thats right its the wires that communicate with the other electronics in the car, on my older is200 it was the second plug with only 2 wires in it coloured pink with grey bits and a red with blue stripe but cant match these to any of the wires that plug into my newer spec headunit, I hope someone here can help as I really need to find them. any help much appriciated
  5. I am sure all parts you need to complete you headunit replacement and sat nav activation will be available on ebay
  6. For the light spread around the dash don't use a forward facing 501, get the ones with 5 smd chips on and the light spreads perfectly with no bright spots, again speak to mick at Crazyleds.co.uk his number is on there for all ya led and smd needs, he is a pure genius and his company is one of the largest in the country for smd and led conversions, check out his website for some of his work
  7. i bought one off ebay aswell, only took about 11 days to turn up and no custom charges to pay, again fit and colour match was almost perfect and for £27 delivered cant complain, double sided tape wasnt the best would reccomend changing before you apply it as easier than removing and refitting like I did, after about a month the passenger side started to come off so go for a decent 3m tape replacement before fitting.
  8. for any help with dash conversions check out crazyleds.co.uk , located in county durham and speak to Mick, he did all mine in white, switches for heated seats and traction is a pain because of the yellow dye but not impossible, hope this helps
