  1. I cant seem to find much out there in cyber world regarding the parrot CK3100 Bluetooth being fitted into a2006 is220D ( normal stereo) I know there is a front sot lead which goes direct onto the unit but I have been told that I also need an extension lead which runs from the amp in the boot back to the head unit ? can anyone throw any light onto this for me please ? thanks in advance...
  2. Can I just remind people that if you are in the south east... All fuels are the same.. Additives are a hit or miss affair because at the time of filling you will get what they have.!!! Bp are now filling from 5 different sights none of which are owned by bp and this also includes the 99 Ron in some cases. So you pays your money and hope for the best. As I've said before Esso are the only supplier down here with their own supply from their own refinery with their own additives!!! Asda in East London load ONLY Esso fuel so you ca n get decent stuff if you want... Whether you get Esso additive ? I couldn't say. Shell have had several dodgy batches of vpower recently due to 3 rd party suppliers getting it wrong resulting in thousands of litres being uplifted from major sites because of water and other contaminants being found... The big companies will never admit to this... No I don't work for shell Esso or whoever.... I'm in a distribution plant next to the qe2 bridge... Believe me... Every bu66er is loading from here... It travels as far as Birmingham and just beyond.. The southwest as far as Dorset..and up to Lincolnshire. Personaly I'm still on Esso with ok results...
  3. just to let you all know... the quality of fuel, diesel in particular in the south east is atrocious... the refinery still hasn't reopened and its been put back by almost a year since they found "problems" with the contractors allegedly... my 14 plate truck has already had a fuel filter change.. the 63 reg ones are getting done about every 8 weeks... the fuel has solids as well as water in it and plays the engine management up .. I have just changed my fuel filter on my 220.... what a bleedin nightmare.... !!! ended up buying a new housing from lexus (£95 +vat) and seems to have improved back to how it was all those years ago.... I also got another filter cartridge to change next year too. ESSO has the best quality fuel as far as my colleagues are concerned( they have their own supply ) all other garages... supermarkets etc, are still running the same stuff... with the odd different additive ! its a hit and miss affair i'm afraid. ( not all points get the same additives etc) so... quality... shell v power nitro... or bp ultimate etc.... all others, you take your chance... any other news , i'll be back !
  4. I've just had to order a new housing today as they can't get mine undone either and they don't want to break it and as usual it's a back order item from Lexus...£95!
  5. I've had the same today ! They don't get touched for years and they corrode ! Mine is £95+ vat But it has to be done .
  6. absoloutly brill... i'd be up for one if you go into manufacturing... please keep us informed !
  7. my 220D has been giving me 41 av mpg so far... gently around town commuting etc... 50 ish if I do a London -Glasgow run...
  8. 3rd / 5th/ and 10th june e mails regarding what stock you had left.. you replied to all 3 of these saying you had a couple left and you'd get back to me once you check..... that was the last I heard... 3 after that reminding you of what we said... but no replies ? lost interest in it now to be honest... along with other electrical matters regarding lexus and Bluetooth connectivity etc....(parrot hands free) I was happy with the car... but i'm getting bored of the same answers from almost everyone.... never known of a car that had so much "niche" electrics.... but that's not your problem.... I don't know what happened... as I said, I've moved on... it's almost out of my system, unless there is a newer easier box you have that I can fit within my price range ? perhaps i'll have to look back over the last few months of these posts.... and your not tarnished.... far from it.. you're doing sterling work... above and beyond etc... it's just my / our emails didn't work.... regards... miserable sod....from Essex...
  9. I've got 2 parrott devices... and i'm getting nowt but bad vibes and feedback regarding the fitting of either of these... extra 3-4 metre lead required from the amp in the boot too... my old car and the wifes focus was a dodle...
  10. I've given up... I sent several e mails and I was told that he would get in touch regarding the old type as he only had a couple left... still waiting... no e mail.... :o(
  11. just read that you also need headlamp washers to pass the mot too ? (retro ? )
  12. I got new number plates a short time back with the logo on it too... but it had a note to say that you DID NEED A SEPERATE G.B STICKER ( in addition too ) if you intended to travel outside the uk....
  13. I've got an umbrella that goes up inside the car too...... Costco have stopped doing these though...
  14. http://www.amazon.com/Winplus-Deluxe-Combo-Window-Shades/dp/B001AYSX9K http://www.amazon.com/Premium-Windshield-Folding-Spring-Shade/dp/B005G88IZU no its not the fold out type.. it's like a spring loaded pop up tend design... the top link is what it looks like when open...but this is a large one mine is smaller(you will need a smaller one too) the bottom link is almost identical, but it's all silver not coloured ! and it was about £5 !!
  15. I got one from Costco a month ago... best thing I've bought yet !!! all this sun is burning the heck out of my black leather... but this sun shield (£5) does good..... springs up and pop[s in to cover 100% of the windscreen... (takes 10 seconds if that to fit...) much better inside now. it also comes with 2 smaller side window black mesh ones...it also comes in 2 sizes...(same price) this one is the smaller one... and fits like a glove.
