  1. I made similar enquires some years ago when I was in the same position, though I didn't actually get one. I remember talking to someone in Malvern who could do it, though I cannot remember the price.
  2. Another way to bring down the cost of a Lexus service is to become a Gold member of this site, saving 15% on all Lexus costs, or around £94 on a major service alone.
  3. Oh the button is there, it is just hard to find. You might need to get on your hands and knees with a mirror to find it.
  4. Thanks for your review, I will be looking to go from en 3 to Gen 4 in the next year and I can now do it without any worries.
  5. Thanks for that, exactly what I was looking for and it answers my questions.
  6. It is time to start looking for my next GS and I am thinking of a 2016 (onwards) GS 300h. I am aware of the specs for the Luxury and Premium variants, but what am I losing if I go for the Executive? I have tried looking for a 2016 UK brochure online, that might help, without any luck. If anyone can point me to one that would be appreciated.
  7. When I was a young Police Officer I was told that there are two things that you can't tell a man, a) His wife is ugly, and b) He is a bad driver
  8. " I wonder what the Government will do to make up the shortfall in speeding fines though? " I guess they are hoping that a drop in fatal accidents, with their cost to emergency services and the economy will make up the shortfall
  9. Albeit a later model, my audio developed a fault last year and was luckily replaced under warranty. I was told that the new unit cost something like £3k, so if the one on eBay is the right one for you then it looks like a bargain.
  10. Certainly let us know how you get on and any differences between your current and new car, as this is a move that I will be making in the next year or so.
  11. Though I don't have PCS, I thought the radar sensor was located behind the front Lexus badge. I have no idea what this might be.
  12. I might be wrong, but do Lexus do an Extended Warranty on the LS? The last time I looked at the prices they were not quoting a price for the LS. I assumed that if you can afford to run an LS you can afford whatever costs it throws at you. Returning back to topic, I will be looking to change my GS450 in 2-3 years and am resigned to getting a late 450 or maybe even a GS300 as the 450's are mighty rare.
  13. I remember mention a while back that Hybrids should not be jump started as it can cause electrical issues soon afterwards. Could that have been the cause in this case?
  14. I recently had my 7 year old GS re-gassed. By the time we got into the warm weather it was struggling badly and failing to cool the car. Performance had tailed off over a while, so I guessed that it was not a catastrophic failure. I had it done by my dealer who checked and confirmed no leaks and he also mentioned about keeping it on full time to protect seals. It is marvellous now, so quiet in this weather.
  15. I doubt that it is the button in the glove box. I had an issue last week where the only way to open the boot was with the key but it was locking fine. I felt a right fool phoning Lexus for them to suggest that I press the button in the glove box. This issue seems different, as if the self closing thing isn't working
