  1. I have the same kind of problem with mine car. The interior light works when turned on manually but when on door setting it gets nothing. Also the ignition ring light, glove and dimmer switch don't work either. So I'm guess these are all connected and there is a brake somewhere... I've checked the door switches, traced wire as far as I could behind steering column and glove box. I tried testing the glove box light and ignition ring light but got no reading. Anyone have the diagram for this wiring or have any ideas what else I could check.
  2. Hi there fellow lexus fans. I had a look for a topic on this but couldn't anything. If i have missed it please share the link. I have just got my HID kit through the post today and spent this morning fitting them to my car only to discover they both aren't working at all. no flicker or anything. I was advised to turn the loom around from the brown loom as the + & - could be wrong. I have tried this and the only thing that happens is the ballast is getting really hot (enough to burn your hand if it was on long enough) I have also check the fuse just in case it had blown but that is fine. also thought if they are getting hot when you turn the loom around then its getting power. Does anyone have any idea what i could try next? thanks in advance. James

  4. Hi there. You can get timer relays off ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/281033442628?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 ) that will hold a little amount of power after your car is off to power the mirrors. You would have to re wire the relay into the mirror circuit and set an amount of time you would like it to wait. The relay will allow the mirrors to open and close when you lock/unlock car from the fob. If you go on this thread ( http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/70868-remote-folding-mirrors-full-closure/ ) and ask eddieblock he should be able to send you some more details as he has done this to his car. I plan on doing the same thing soon. Hope this has been some help
  5. Hi scott. thanks for taken time to get back to me. Yeah i replaced the bulb in ignition ring but had no improvement from it. The person that had it before me has done some serious bodge job on it. So would all these problems be connected to each other? as its the dome light dimmer not doing anything (but if set to on does work), the dash dimmer switch & ignition ring.. I still get light from my ashtray light and lighter. The reason I'm wanting it fixed is so i can use these points to run some footwell lights to dim when car door has been closed.
  6. Hi there, i found this thread about dash lights dimmer not working and saying something about a dimmer relay and also something to do with tail light fuse!?. I have the same problem but... my ignition ring bulb and also the dome light doesn't do anything when set to "door", But if set to "on" it works fine the car was upgraded with LEDs in dash and center dash before i bought it, but have been told this would not effect it. I would like to know if this dimmer relay is real and also if the tail fuse has anything to do with this aswell. Any help would be a big help as it has been in my head ever since buying the car. thank you in advance http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/60984-is200-dash-light-dimmer/page-3
  7. Hi there, thanks for the welcome. I've been out today and tried testing it with a multimeter. I wasn't getting anything from it at all (with the door open) I had checked the interior light and that's still working and it is. I have just thought to myself, I have a led bulb in the interior. would this affect it or should this still be fine? I also checked the fuse box yesterday and everything was fine. I really dont know where to go from now..
  8. Hi there, I'm new to this site. I was trying to replace the bulb for ignition ring only to find out that its not working at all. who ever had the car before me has cut the wires and reconnected them but i have no light from the bulb.. Also the dimmer for the dash lights is also doing nothing, Could someone please help to tell me maybe how to fix it and also if these two problems could be linked as its all to do with lights, Would like to point out that the dash lights and interior lights still work fine. its just the ignition ring and dimmer. thanks in advance.
