  1. Had this problem last year and dealer replaced diesel fuel filter (dont know what one but filter was about £15, diagnosis and labour £150) problem was however fixed. The filter blocked up about a week after I added a tin of BG244 diesel treatment to the fuel, perhaps it dislodged some crud, this was the only effect the additive had as it didn't make any difference otherwise to the performance or fuel consumption.
  2. Had koni adjusables bought from Larkspeed last month fitted to rear of is2200d by my local garage (non franchised), No need to change springs or any other parts on rear suspension. On collecting car following replacement it did feel stiffer but this was probably due to the fact that the old ones were both well shot, probably due to the poor roads and many speed bumps locally. After driving for a few days the car now feels fine and as comfy to ride in as when i bought it 3 years ago with roadholding to match. I did turn up the dampers to the highest setting but it was a lot stiffer than i would like so now back no minimum setting and maximum comfort. (Note not easy to adjust when fitted as boot carpet covers damper tops)
  3. New Koni shocks bought from Larkspeed and fitted today, vast improvement, old ones were well worn, saved quite a bit compared to dealer quote for replacement, all issues with noise and handling resolved.
  4. Had car in for service at dealer and they reported back shocks and rear suspension checked out Ok but Still getting loud rattle/knocking when accelerating and hit bumps/ruts in road, they suggested a trip in car with mechanic with me pointing out problem. The rear of the car also feels twitchy when cornering and hitting bumps in road. Have now decided new shocks reqd and will fit Koni items in near future, only nearside seems affected but will replace both. Open to suggestions in case anyone else has had this issue, no signs of leakage from shocks but believe they are gas filled
  5. Have your rear shocks failed, mines have after 58000 miles and Lexus want £600 to replace,, not an easy item to purchase from motor factors and no fast fit garages want to know.
