  1. Hey guys, need some help and advice, I have just received my third speeding fine and I am now on six points after missing the points on the first offence as I did a speed awareness course. Each time I have been caught it is for doing around 35 in a thirty, not silly speeds on motorways etc. It is purely down to a loss of concentration on my part so I am looking for solutions that will remind me of the speed limit, bleep at me if I go over the limit and if possible warn me of speed cameras. I have a 2013 F-Sport with the built in pop up sat nav. That does display the current roads speed limit but doesn't warn you when you're going too fast. I can't find any way for it to warn you of speed cameras either so it looks like that's a no go. I have explored various iPhone apps, the TomTom one appears to be the best but again it does not warn you audibly when you go over the speed limit, just on the phones screen. Another downside to all of these apps is the need to run them every time you start a journey; I would forget! So that leaves me with a purpose made detector like a Snooper or Road Angel, anyone used one before? Will they do what I want and can they be set to automatically start when the car is started? Anyone can offer any help and advice it would be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks Chris
  2. Hey guys, I have been getting increasingly concerned about the performance of the CT-200h in the winter when the roads get icy and snowy. I have had a couple of instances recently where I have no traction in a bit of mud or grass and that does not bare well for the snow. Yesterday I was parked on some wet grass and had a very slight rise to get back onto the road, the car just did nothing when I accelerated and I had to swing the steering wheel back and forth to get some grip to get off the grass. Is this normal and how should I approach the winter weather with regards to driving style or turning off traction etc? Any advice would be handy. Thanks Chris
  3. Thanks for everyone's help, I adjusted the sensitivity down to one and it seems better now. Thanks Chris
  4. My auto lights are coming on all the time and I was thinking maybe the sensor could be dirty. Problem is, I have no idea where the sensor is. Anyone know where to look. Thanks Chris
  5. Rich2508, you da man!!! Works now thanks to your advice, I now have Planet Rock and loads of other stations. I can't thank you enough! Cheers Chris
  6. I have just got a new CT200h Sport with the sat nav option which includes DAB. The problem is, it doesn't seem to pick up many stations, Talk Sport and Planet Rock are missing for starters. Anyone any idea what could be wrong? I notice some have an aerial on the front screen but all I have is an aerial on the rear roof. Beginning to think they forgot the DAB aerial. Chris
  7. Looks like I will have to get the optional Nav option then.
  8. I am confused about what the CT200h Sport comes with as standard. All of the models I see online have nav but this is an extra. Can someone tell me if the sport version comes with the pop up screen etc or would I need to get the nav option to have that. Also if no, what advantages are there to get the sat nav option apart from the obvious? Chris
  9. I am right in saying that all CT models have the pop up audio display panel, not just the models with sat nav? Thanks Chris
  10. Seriously thinking about picking up a Lexus CT200h Sport as my next company car. Before I make the final decision I was hoping to get a few real world answers from you guys and girls:- Firstly, the stock audio system needs to work with my iPhone 5 for streaming music and more importantly hands free calling. I want to be able to use all of the hands free options in the car like steering wheel controls. Does anyone have experience with an iPhone and the CT? Space in the back. I have a 4 year old with a booster seat and a 14 year old that will be I the back at weekends, is there enough room for them, or is the back space tight? I hear that the CT’s are very noisy, I had an IS200 a while back and one of the stand out features of this car was how quiet it was and the quality of the interior. Is this still the case on the CT? How is the performance? I currently have a Passat 2.0Hdi and don’t expect it to be as quick as that but I don’t want a car that is hard to drive either. Thanks in advance for any help and opinions that you can offer. Chris
