  1. ive fixed it, the new AFM sorted it out after around 10 miles of driving it. :)
  2. Hi there, I've got an altezza, I know about the flange differences etc I can't find anywhere, the diff ratio for an automatic is200.. All I can find is altezza and is200 manual ratios. Even the ones on eBay don't say. I'm after one closest to a 4.7 which I can weld up, or a 2 way. But don't want to spend to much
  3. Is there any better ratios for acceleration on these? I heard the autos were 4.3? I have a torsion diff, and I'm looking to do a deal for an open so I can weld it... Anyone?
  4. I think the maf has bbeen cut off on the intake end, as it usually is moulded to the air box? So is this ok? I picked up a new denso maf sensor which made it alot better! But it still seems quite flat until high rpm, any other ideas?
  5. Thanks for your reply. No I haven't got the standard airbox or anything. However I've fitted an air filter and moved the maf out of direct air flow. It's better, however it's still stuttery. It's better if you cone on the power slowly. The maf has been cut at the intake end for some reason. Could it possible be a faulty tps?
  6. Okay I'll have a mess later on and see how I get on. The solenoid wouldn't be an issue then and is fine the way it is? Could The problem be anything else or is the maf a fussy sensor on these engines, and can easily cause this? Cheers
  7. The maf is under the sock type thing in the pic. Also, it runs slightly better when it's cold weather. Would it matter how close the maf is to the TB? Is it designed to be a certain distance away? And what does that vacuum solenoid do please? Thanks
  8. Hi all I've just bought an altezza, it has no power until 6000rpm, and is very flat until this point, but does get even flatter at 5k until 6. It has no air filter, it has the maf, on the end of the throttle body, and then a sock stretched over the end of the maf. How would these engines react like this? I've also noticed, if you could imagine this... The vacuum hose that comes off the throttle body at the top, and goes into a solenoid type device with another hose coming off of it, what does this do? As its blanked but still plugged in, I'll get a pic when I can. I have no engine lights on, they go out when engine is running, when stamping on the throttle from low revs it sort of bogs abit, Hope this helps
