  1. I have an update on my own experience with this issue. Last week my car went into my local dealer for configuration of the second key. Since then WhatsApp is working again! Might be coincidence, however it's the first time it has worked since December. It was definitely still not working before I went into the dealer last week.
  2. I took delivery of my NX 450h+ last August and have done around £3500 miles to date. The majority of my local driving is in EV mode, and charged overnight for just over £1 thanks to the cheap overnight tariff. I had an Ohme charger installed before I took delivery of the car, and this works well. I wouldn't use public charging as it's cheaper to drive in normal hybrid mode than pay for that. I have not used the 13A socket slow charger. The car has worked out well fro me, and I've only put petrol in 3 or 4 times, and then only a full tank if I plan a long journey.
  3. I took delivery of my NX 450h+ in August and the wireless carplay has worked perfectly with my iPhone 8, including WhatsApp messages. It might be a coincidence, however since upgrading the phone to an iPhone 13, messages and WhatsApps no longer work. The car voice no longer reads messages properly, and I cannot verbally respond to messages. I've just made my dealer aware.
  4. I've had an NX450h+ since August 2023 which was paired with an iPhone 8. The reading of whatsapp messages, and responses was working perfectly. Last month I replaced my phone with an iPhone 13 and have just discovered the problem others are describing. The car fails to read any messages properly, or send messages. I assume the fact the problem has started since changing the phone is unlikely to be a coincidence.
  5. Good weather certainly makes all the difference to the mpg. I'm currently averaging around 43mpg with mixed driving, but during the winter I was lucky to achieve 37mpg. The 43mpg incidentally is also with the aircon in use.
  6. Further to my comment in October in which I reported averaging 42mpg, I can now report that since the cold weather this has dropped to around 37mpg with identical driving.
  7. I would love to understand how you manage to average 47 mpg, and 55 mpg on a 300 mile journey SHux. With very careful driving I would never get anywhere near this. What's your secret? My mpg has dropped below 40 mpg in the past couple of days due to the drop in temperature.
  8. I've owned my NX300h Luxury for almost 8 months having previously owned an IS300h, and have driven around 4500 miles in it. I used to average just over 50mpg in the IS with mixed driving, slightly less at lower temperatures. I found it easy to match the manufacturers quoted MPG figures, and often exceeded 60mpg on a steady run on a warm summers day. The design of the NX however is such that it's difficult to obtain good mpg figures especially with motorway driving. Over the weekend I drove between Cardiff and Tenby and struggled to return 37mpg, and I was not driving hard. During the summer months with more local driving on mixed roads I achieved 42mpg at best. I find the noise of the engine racing during inclines and acceleration intrusive and a real irritation, which doesn't make for a relaxing drive. Driving around country roads at 50mph is enjoyable and quiet, and around town is okay, however I would never buy an NX primarily for motorway driving.
  9. My IS300h I've had for around 18 months and I've always had the same problem. It's very obvious due to the car otherwise being so quiet. Really irritating, but I guess I'm tolerating it.
  10. I've now owned my IS300H Luxury for just over 13 months, with around 10K miles on the clock. It has been total devoid of rattles up to about a month ago. I now have an intermittent rattle above the glove box which can be stopped with slight downward pressure to the dashboard to the right of the air vent. I guess I will have to take it to the dealer at some point. I'm hoping it will be something simple which doesn't involve dismantling.
  11. As regards the Supagard, when I negotiated my IS300h Luxury last year I was told I would have a free monthly valet whilst I had the car (inside & out), so for me it was well worth it. I've had the car since 31st July, it's kept clean and I haven't washed it once! As regards my experience of the car, well I love it. The fuel economy may not be quite as good as I'd hoped, but it's still reasonable, and certainly a lot better than my old IS250. I know it will also improve when the weather warms up. Is it worth the money, well I'm not sure, but I'm still pleased I bought it and would likely do so again. The dealer is also fantastic with after sales attention being as good as the pre sales which is not always the case elsewhere. I guess that's what you pay for.
  12. I had the same freezing problem with the original software supplied on my car which I picked up at the end of July with a freeze every few weeks. Also 'Connected Services' never worked. My local dealer updated the software around 3 weeks ago and I've had no incidents of freezing since, and connected services are now working. One small irritation for me is that I wish the red highlight on the Navigation display would remember where it was left when the car is restarted. I reposition it manually every time! As regards the Satnav comment,s I agree that it cannot be relied upon, and has also given me totally incorrect directions. It could be a great system, but unfortunately has a way to go to match my old TomTom One for accuracy. Also the voice recognition is pretty useless most of the time. For example it refuses to understand a local town name, however if I give the road name and town together it understands!
  13. One of the first comments my wife made during our first journey in our new IS 300h was in relation to her elbow hitting the hard plastic, which is the cup holders. My 86 year old mother also commented about it and she's a small lady! This is a shame because generally we love the car.
  14. I renewed the 3 year service plan on my 6 year old IS 250 auto in July at £832, then the following week purchased the new IS 300h Luxury. The old service plan was immediately ceased and a new one for the IS 300h was taken up at a lower cost of £751.
