  1. Many thanks Phil. I have Bookmarked Hoya. Your comments re Christmas and the New Year are of course reciprocated.
  2. My Cataracts have been done Renato and I still have trouble with the modern lights.
  3. can you recommend any specific glasses please Vlad ?
  4. Same problem for me Bill. AGEING. I do as little as possible.
  5. I was told in August that my exhaust was blowing and should be replaced. Lexus quoted £8oo to do the job. I declined and guess what? It is still not blowing ! There are Revenue Seekers and there are somewhere, some honest garages. Customer Beware, I say.
  6. Correct and I have posted on this subject at least twice within the last 12 months.
  7. What was the diagnosis which lead to the need to replace the Hybdrid Battery Fergal ? Was it diagnosed, ordered by and will it be replaced by Lexus ?
  8. Thanks Ant.How awful that must have been for Claire and Tom,but I`m really pleased that you are on the mend and I can tell you from personal experience that you MUST NOT rush your recovery. Let nature do its work and do tell your Brain to stop thinking too far ahead.
  9. What Peter (Nemesis UK) contributes Paul cannot be ignored, as he`s become our "walkin talkin oral remindin Handbook" for a number of Lexus models. And he rarely, if ever falls down with his promptin. Now, had he managed England FC...............................................!🤣🤣👍👍👍
  10. But he`d left a window open Mark !
  11. You still just own the one village then, Phil ?🤣🤣
  12. Best wishes for a swift return to full health Ant.👍👍
  13. Yet again Philip, we do not disagree.👍🤣
  14. The e-cvt box in a Toyota is no more like a manual than a Tiptronic box in a Mercedes. And I`ve just covered more than one quarter of a million miles in an E220 cdi Merc without fault. What needs to be remembered or perhaps learnt, is that the term "for the lifetime of the car" relates to the lifetime of the production of the vehicle, ie 7 years. So, if the first time of registration is the first owner, then he has 7 years of trouble free worry. If the second owner buys the car when it is halfway through the production run, he has 3.5 years of trouble free worry, and so on.
  15. An excellent idea Brent. Please however, do not limit to specific Lexus models, just make it available "to all Lexus owners" and watch the acceptances rise. Just think back to those Saturday mornings standing in the Matinee queue when in due time the 7th Cavalry came over the rise to save the day !🤣🤣👍👍 A caravan of Lexii.
  16. You are so lucky Kenny. My 1948 side valve Morris Minor with a split windscreen only gave 33 mpg.🤣🤣
  17. Nothing ventured, nothing gained John. I`ll wager that it is not official policy, but ratther that of the Franchise (Dealer).
  18. Thanks for the update Piers. I remember telling you that it was a good idea.
  19. It is vital to ensure that one has this cover as it picks up matters that can be picked up by the Hybrid Battery Check, but which are not covered by the Hybrid Battery Warranty itself.
