  1. Hi all, anybody know anything about this: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...2485646518&rd=1
  2. Hi I saw this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...2484243006&rd=1 on EBAY, and I was wondering if anybody knew what the satnav and tv conversion would cost

  4. I have had a similar problem and I replaced the failing cog. Unfortuneately I had no idea of the timing setup and I got nowhere with it. I eventually sent it to a place in the midlands, who fixed it for me for £100. I am in Spain for the next 2 months so I cannot get the name and address of the company but I posted it on here last year for a similar query. I got it from my Lexus dealer so ask you local one or phone Lexus Glasgow
  5. Turns out that my radiator is full of corrosion and needs replaced. also the thermostat needs replaced. I have had 2 GS300s,both second hand, both have had badly corroded radiators. Have I been very unlucky or is this fairly common?????
  6. Thanks for all the input. I think it is the thermostat as the top hose gets hot but the bottom hose remains fairly cool. My problem is I do not know where the thermostat is. I also would like to know if it would be ok to remove it tempoarily. TIA
  7. no smoke. I think that the water heats up and goes out the overflow. Anyone know where the thermostat is?
  8. Hi Mudzs, the fans do seem to be working but i haven't a clue where the thermostat is never mind if it is working
  9. Hi folks, I have just driven 1500 miles to bring my 1997 300 to the sunny Costa del Sol. 1 week after arriving I drove about 50 miles up twisty hilly roads and my car overheated and I ended up with no water. Both oil and water had been checked before and after journey to Spain. I was able to top up radiator and limp back home but I had to stop every 5 miles or so and top up radiator with water. There is no Lexus dealer for miles and the local Toyota dealer cannot take me till Thursday. Help!!! any suggestions appreciated. There is no discolouring of the oil, and the car overheats after short distance. there appears to be no bubbles in water.
  10. I have aluminium dust caps on my wheel valves. One of my tyres lost some air and I couldn't get my dust cap off. I called out the AA and neither could they. I had to take my tyre to Quickfit and have the valve cut off. Does anyone know of a way to have them on without them sticking or do I have to put plastic dust caps on all my valves? TIA
  11. I sent mine to Autosound Ltd, 4 Lister St. Dudley Hill, Bradford, BD4 9PO.They charged me £100 approx. to fix, which was a lot less than the £1400 plus VAT that Lexus Glasgow wanted for a new one. Tel. No. 01274 688812
