  1. Have a look at post no.4 on this thread by Rich2508, it may solve your DAB tuning problems http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/topic/83474-dab-option-not-picking-up-many-stations/
  2. I wish I had a pound for everytime i've watched this review during the long, long wait for my car. I found it very entertaining but it did grate on some people that I've shown it to!
  3. I see where you're coming from Kiedee, ML is very nice to have but I wouldn't pay an extra £2400 to get it either if I didn't want the full package.
  4. Kiedee, have you had a demonstration of the ML system at your Lexus dealer? My dealer used a HARMAN stereo demo disc titled "The Sounds of New York". It was amazing. ML was standard on my GS Premier but after listening to the demo I would have paid extra for it as an option.
  5. Lexus Si On my GS the sensitivity of the mouse controller can be reduced, this does help a little but its surprising how quickly you will get used to operating the mouse. Have a look at Set up screen/General settings/Feedback force
  6. The thought of buying a hybrid hadn't entered my head. After seven very happy years with my W211 E320CDI Avantgarde I simply wanted the same spec in the facelifted W212. Sadly the Avangarde spec had been discontinued and the available grades didn't offer comparable refinement, comfort or acceleration that we were used to or required. Looking for suitable alternatives I decided to give the GS a test drive, loved it and bought it.
  7. I saw the 5th Gear report and thought it was a bit unfair towards the Lexus, their complaints about the constant engine whine at 6000RPM as they raced around the track trying to tailslide the car was totally unrepresentative of everyday driving and I felt didn’t do the car justice. I bought my GS450h Premier as a replacement for my 7 year old Mercedes E320CDI. My partner has a painful back condition that means she feels every road bump with agony, meanwhile I liked the power that the V6 Merc provided. I have never driven a BMW, being put off by the many reports of a firm drive tailored towards sportiness rather than comfort and had never considered a hybrid of any sort. I really wanted a new face lifted E Class but we were very disappointed with the test drive. The GS450h Premier gives us the best of both worlds, comfort for her (although is she doesn’t find it quite as comfortable as the Mercedes) and a bit of fun for me.
  8. A decent review, they give it 4 out of 5 http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Drives/Search-Results/First-drives/Lexus-IS250-F-Sport-2014-CAR-review/
  9. Saw my first IS300h today, it was travelling North on the A192 from Hepscott to Morpeth. It was a lovely Mesa red with what looked like a grey interior. The plates were Newcastle Lexus. It looked very smart from the rear.
  10. I can confirn this, the ML system in my GS is very good. Ask your dealer if they have a copy of the HARMAN stereo demo disc they use, it's titled The Sounds Of New York. It will demonstrate how good the systen really is
  11. I haven't seen another new shape GS on the road in the North East since I had my first test drive last April. I did see a new GS250 parked up at the White Swan hotel in Alnwick a few months back. I do see the occasional old shape GS. RX's are common, CT's fairly common and IS's less so - I've never seen a new shape IS outside the dealers
  12. Grey/black interior looks very classy
  13. I opted for the Ivory trim in my sonic silver GS because my partner said she was sick of black! I had reservations about the silver/light trim combo but fell in love with it as soon as I saw it at the dealers. The footwells are dark grey so its practical too. I haven't seen the light grey trim so please post some photo's if you can.
  14. Hi Dixgas. I told you the waiting time would fly over :winky: . Nice car, looks great in white :D
  15. I was offered a set of these in 235/45R18 94Y by Lexus Newcastle at £867 fitted and my summer tyres stored. I decided against and went for Continental ContiWinterContact TS 850P at £847
