  1. Hi, Front headlights are so low, that I can only see like 5mtrs at night. Left car for service at toyota garage (no Lexus garage close by) and asked them to check lights too. They came back with saying headlight units are gone and they cant lift them, I need to get whole new units. Checked the prices for new headlight units and thought nah, I think I will live with that, as it doesn't affect me in town and I only do couple long night journeys a year, and beam lights are still ok. Few months later took front passenger wheel off to check absorbers and found headlight level sensor- linkage which was seized and snapped in half, so the lever which controls the sensor was hanging fully down. lifted half way- head lights went up.. I am not a mechanic but surely they know that type of sensor exists.. Spend £1000+ just like that.. Hope this may be useful for someone before they buy full headlight units🙂
  2. Thanks for reply. Just got gs300 shocks delivered, will be fitting in a day or two
  3. Hi My GS450h 2008 (pre-facelift) front shock is leaking and looking for replacement isn't very easy. Found set of new ones for £700 ish, used ones £450 (don't really want used ones). Also research and found that people put GS300 shock absorbers onto GS450h. Looking at price it is massive difference. And suspension sport mode is something I never used in last 3 years anyway. The only question now- how to find correct GS300 shocks which will fit my GS450h. Did anyone try this and can guide me what to get? Found this, crazy cheap, not sure about that brand and if it fits : https://www.onlineautomotive.co.uk/car-parts/Lexus/GS300/3.0L/Petrol/Ashika/Steering-and-Suspension/Shock-Absorber-Sets/LSGS330 2011SET/1/565?gclid=Cj0KCQiA962BBhCzARIsAIpWEL3GQmSFbLZQfs8Ca6yTf0wJ_CuXbSDG02nYgwJs0VzTiGiPTC7M-4UaArmSEALw_wcB Looked for some KYB shocks on ebay but again there are so many of them, no idea if they all exact same fitment etc.. Any help would be appreciated 🙂
  4. just put 225/55/R16 on my IS220. Everything fitted fine, you can go for it:)
  5. Hello, I'm planning to replace tyres to winter ones, and I have set of 225/55/r16 tyres left from my bmw... But on my R 16 wheels now are 205/55. Dont want to spend more money, so question, if these 225/55 will fit ok with R16 alloys? now looks like here's plenty space between wing and tyre, so in my mind that shouldnt be a problem.. Maybe anybody tried that?
  6. Nearlyfunny, how much did that cost for you (DPF REMOVAL). These guys in Glasgow doing it for 500£ but i cant find any reviews about them.
  7. Hello guys, I really want to remove that bloody dpf from my lexus, but its 600+ miles for me to go to Taunton, I'm from Inverness, Scotland. Anybody know someone who could remove DPF in Scotland? Edit: I found only 1 company in Glasgow, who does DPF removal for lexus is 220d. http://www.omg-performance.co.uk/index.html did anybody try their service? Can I trust them?
