  1. are you sure they are not talking about the VT belt ie transmission drive belt (if there is one) les
  2. hi all i have an rx300 which i am pleased with but am getting restless for a change of vehicle the following are on offer 1 2006 gs300 15000 miles same price as 2 2 2009 gs450h 77000 miles same price as 1 3 keep rx300 i fancy option 2 but am still uncertain about reliability .option 1 appeals due to low mileage but obviously is now a dated concept. option 3 the devil you know etc can anyone help me to make a decision? les
  3. hi all thanks for input it would appear that there is a potential problem which can be repaired without perhaps the expense of a lexus warranty from reports obtained the car seems a good piece of kit and may well be worth considering it also seems that the pump failure does not disable the car but it carries on as a non hybrid is this correct? think i might buy a horse!!-probably drop dead knowing my luck!! ps were/are all hybrid cvt or were/are some straight auto? thanks for help les
  4. hi seems to be more prevalent on the gs450H range more on road? les
  5. hi have been considering moving up to hybrid but am put off by reports of pump failures at 70-80k is this something to wory about or should i stay with non-hybrid tech thought and advice appreciated les spragg
  6. hiall i am considering a 450h used 76k but am concerned about the reported failure of the hydraulic(?) pump at about this mileage it does seem that that those prone to fail fail around this mileage does this mean that if you get past this break point that it is unlikely to fail and continue to be reliable i also am looking at a low mileage 300 but prefer the modern technology but would not be happy to fork out lots of money for repairs that should not be needed on this class of car any help or guidance would be appreciated les spragg have RX300 at present
  7. hi excuse simpleton what are the various specs ie, se, sel, l, any others? for example does l mean air suspension les spragg
  8. hi may be worth checking turbo/air hoses for leakage had similar prob on rover 800 the intake hose split and i lost about 20% power les spragg
  9. hi again seems the 250 is a bit down on power any comments on 430c-is it the same body as a 250c or bigger? fuel costs not a prob i am looking for a nice convertible for casual use as i have access to nissan cube for day to day(wife permitting) les spragg
