thanks wass to be honest i cant remember if the days where dry or wet but this is something i will make a note of (this is age related) i know the aerials dont have a nice snug fit against the roof and there is a gap there where water can gather ,but i mentioned this to the lexus tech guy and he checked it out to make sure there wasn't any water leaking past the roof seal onto the connections,i think i have to hope it becomes an issue where it happens everytime as its sods law that when you get to your dealer the issue clears up by itself.

took my car in today and you know what happened.......no interference when they looked at it ,they done some checks but couldn't find anything so i will have to hope the noise comes back constantly to make sure they hear what i am hearing,on the plus side i had the open windows with elec.key function activated by lexus so when the car is unlocked and you keep the unlock button down for 3 more secs the windows all open and the opposite happens with the lock button.

i have to agree with you geoffj my last car a mercedes A class had a full numeric pad so you could dial your number direct from the keypad ,you could transfer your whole phonebook by bluetooth in one simple operation and view your whole phonebook on the dashboard,theres the old saying "you dont know what you have till its gone" and boy i miss the merc phone system ,i thought all cars especially a lexus would be able to perform simple tasks and perform them well.

contacted lexus liverpool today and they are having my car on thursday overnight to have a look at it so hopefully they will know what it is and be able to fix it for me.

thanks steve yes the car is still under warranty, but i can't get it to happen every time i use the washers, when it happens it masks the radio. i am trying differnent things incase a certain combination of electrical items makes it happen, that way i can replicate it to the dealer

recently i have had some interference on the stereo when i use my front windscreen washers its not all the time but when it happens it is quite loud i am trying to narrow it down by turning things off like bluetooth when it happens but it is still persists can anyone help

i dont have the nav on mine but i could transfer them BUT only 1 contact at a time when i had my mercedes you could transfer the whole phonebook in one go, the lexus audio / phone is a right pain if you go through the setup menu you will come across phonebook ,then add a contact you then need to give them a voice tag to identify the number transfered i think the car can only store about 20 numbers so you wont get all your contacts on there. for any number that you haven't been able to store then you have to dial from your phone to connect again with the mercedes there is a full numeric pad so dialing a number is easy.

i have a 2011 ct200h-L with the basic 6 speaker setup can any one tell me what kind of speaker each of them are,i.e. front door rear door and dash i am not sure but i think the door speakers are just full range speaker and i dont know what type the dash one are,

yes its still under warranty but i have already asked them to have a listen out for the rattles / creaks when i first bought the car from them and they told me they had and didn't hear anythink,so i drove away and i guess you know what i heard next creaks and rattles,now what i do know is that lexus is sh i t e for panel fit and security of fastening and just like toyota their engineering for some parts is appauling overall i am not that impressed with lexus would i have another one probably not and i only purchased this one end november 2013 and i feel like this already i should of stayed with mercedes they are great cars. issues i have found are :- front seat belt lower mounting bolt shoulders way to long made a ptfe spacer this stops the lower seatbelt mounting from rattling along the mounting bolt shoulder (same as toyota we have an aygo also) under body panels missing one panel nut so made a ptfe nut in the shed, some fixings had worked there way loose,where you have plastic to plastic contact i found this can make a noise so the faces that touch are now covered with some self adhesive felt to stop any noises under the rear bumper in the corners there are plastic covers if you tapped these again noises are made mounting screws in the front passenger door needed tightening up this has reduced the creaks significanly the side panels on the center console again where there is plastic to plastic contact they have been covered with the self adhesive felt i absolutely cannot stand / bare rattles creaks basically everything this car has

thanks exdee i removed the handle and gave the screws a tighten up and it has reduced the creaks that i have, now i just need to find the rest of them,i think some of them are in the centre console but it seems like a lot of trim to remove just to get to the console may have to wait for a better day to look at it

jo mitchell who is in the parts dept told me that the £350 price was just to get their money back on the rims as they would be getting invoiced for them soon so better to sell them at cost price,i wont be having them on my car they will be in the loft as spares,on new years eve i slowly drove up a dropped kerb but i pinched my front tyre and took a chunk out of the side wall so i bought a full set of tyres and had them fitted last saturday but i did keep 3 tyres as they are still good and will be having these fitted to the new rims,i will now have to see if i can fit a full size tyre in the boot with the floor in place. the tyres i had fitted are Dunlop Sport Maxx RT Tyre Size 215/45Y17 wet grip is A and fuel economy is C road noise 67dB £126.90 each fitted the road noise in the car is now reduced by so much and the ride doesn't seem as harsh,i have a road by me thats like the MIRA proving ground ,its not cratered but it has a rough road suface any rattles in the car show up and boy the lexus is full of them (badly screwed together and engineered in some areas just like toyota)

i am looking for 1 alloy wheel to have as a spare for my ct will wheels only off a ct fit on or will other lexus wheels fit,i am not fussy what its off as it will only be used in an emergency i have found one off an IS200 for £62.50 inc postage hope someone out there can help

how do you remove the door card as my passenger one creaks when you go over bumps and i need to stop the creaks

i have heard so many people talking about this and am not too sure exactly what it is ,is it an option when you buy a new car or is it an upgrade that you can do yourself ??? could anyone help me please.

the servicing costs aren't bad my next 3 services include 2 major and 1 minor and based on todays prices it will cost me just £800 for the three,my mercedes A class i have just part ex'd would of cost alot more as the next service the 4th yr one would cost me £400 ish then £190 then another £400 so in the region of £1000 for the next 3 services.

i have used parkingsensors.co.uk 15 years ago fantastic system i bought them as a diy kit and never had any issues with them. like anyone who is using them for the first time its a weird feeling putting all your trust in the sensors as your mind is telling you to stop but the sensors are telling you to keep on going once you trust them then you wont be without them.

i have spoken to my local lexus dealer and they've advised me its to be run with the can of gunk and the replacement canister of gunk is £65 so i am going to keep another compressor in the boot and if i get a flat i'll blow the tyre back up until i can get to a tyre repair centre if its too bad the puncture i also have a can of tyre weld in the car now and i will use this instead of the oem(cost of canister £65) one as i can get it for £8 a can at asda

hi all i've had the cruise control fitted now for just 24hrs and its been brill,and just as you expect everything works as it should i have to say that its a bit wierd not driving with the pedals as its the first car i've had with cruise fitted,especially when going up hills and it accelerates with no input from you. a big thank-you for everyones help and advise

i have looked in the manual for the car and cannot find any info. can you use the compressor for inflating the tyres without having the can of gunk attached

do you have the part numbers for the items that are needed for the retro fit L84632-34011 Switch, A/Drive L84633-48020 Switch, Cruise C L45186-76010-0C0 Cover Steering L90159-50199 Screw (qty 2) That was all that was required. does anyone know how to remove the panels from under the floor pan of my 200. i have some stones on top of the panels and i can hear the stones rattling when you go over bumps. do the fixings unscrew,prise off ,1/4 turn i really dont know but i dont want to break any of them thanks in advance
