  1. its an AS200 as you state its the same as the is200 and has only 150 bhp yamaha didnt tune the engines !
  2. i would guess at the TTE black box ecu located in the main ECU box get it swapped for an HKS fcd notorious for going wrong, and fit in with the symptom's you have
  3. yes, as near as you can
  4. i have done it :D yes use a dremel with a diamond cutting blade cut very slowly as running fast will build up heat and melt the plastic do not force it ! reseal with clear silicone here is the finished article
  5. does the window work on either button ? could be a loose connection/faulty switch or a faulty motor, have you checked the wiring as it enters the door for any abrasion/nicks have you taken the door panel off and checked for voltage auto should be up and down windows should work if door is open or shut
  6. the accident is your fault the damage needs further description as "front damage" could mean anything your number plate will be yours to transfer and not included in the valuation a 99 is only worth a few thousand weather mint or not, so it will be very likely that it will be written off
  7. Ok then i am a spark so basically the extract fan sounds like it is 12v or 24v you should "check first" though. if it is either of those voltages you will need a transformer if there is not one already built in. If it is 230v you should just take a live and neutral from a light fitting and connect through in a joint box or a spur. About the lights going off with the steam i would just check that all connections are tight firstly and if that dont do it, it could possibly be the switch but it sounds abit weird to me, is it just the bathroom lights that go off? where abouts are you by the way? i have never come across a 24v fan for household use nor a fan with the transformer built in, that would kind of defeat the object would it not ?
  8. No 'tarring' please :P Steve is the only one who can change the board to sort this Not having a 'back to top' button is driving me crazy :shutit: +1 ;)
  9. if you are not sure dont touch all works within a bathroom are notifiable under part p, and should be carried out by a qualified electrician there are many aspects to the fan and the connection of it is it an extra low voltage fan (12v) or mains voltage 230v what zone is it positioned in is there rcd protection to the circuit it may be connected to is there supplementry bonding to the bathroom how is the fan to be controlled, timed, manual operation, humidistat control, pir controlled if its a timer type it will have three wires and maybe an earth conductor any of the others it will have just two wires and maybe an earth conductor and you thought electrics was simple !!!
  10. cost price should be the price they paid to buy the car plus VAT as they legally have to charge it but who knows what they pay ? you may well be getting a bargain, but the dealer without doubt will still be making a profit
  11. nice one Yemgi shame you keep buying these dodgy cars with the steering wheel on the wrong side
  12. where legal or action is pending it is in the best interests of all sides including LOC for it not to be in the public domain sorry but this thread is now closed
  13. I am reading this with interest, and was quite willing to let it remain right until this point personal insults are not welcome or fitting i do suggest you sort this one out behind closed doors, and please let us know the results
  14. Honda CRV :o for A-B stuff and trailoring Starlet gt turbo for track and racing (mainly trailored) Toyota Bb for fun I do miss the IS ;)
  15. no an electric compressor would need to be huge if it was going to produce the same pressure as a mechanical device the one you see are not capable of blowing the skin of a milk pudding not only would the motor need to be big so would the amount of batteries a supercharger is driven directly by the engine, try emulating the power of an engine with an electric motor ! look at the hybrid/battery cars to see what is needed
  16. not being argumentative, appreciate your views but an alternator just turns, and has no mechanical resistance(or very little) by applying a load on the voltage side, the alternator doesnt and cant turn any faster or even apply any more load on the engine the two sides, mechanical and electrical being separate presuming that revs drop because the electric side is being loaded and sapping the battery power
  17. how does an alternator sap power from an engine ?
  18. in reality it will all depend on how far out it is to start with taking the fact that from the outset they were not correct geometry wise, and it is unlikely to have been reset correctly, then a difference should be felt :)
  19. not a big or too complicated job however if you are not confident, let the garage carry out the works best be safer than sorry :)
  20. there is one IS 200 that surpasses every car that has so far been mentioned a truely spectacular vehicle a quick search for the member "Obsessed" will reveal all :D for those too lazy to search although many pics are down there are a lot that show what a masterpiece this car is
  21. I would avoid SPC as far as I know they are no more Wayne and Ike are the heads behind the turbo, and neither work for SPC not sure where they are at present but I am sure they will emerge soon
  22. in 2004/2005 the special edition model was available with full leather, HID's, different alloys and a few more extras as an outgoing model it was spruced up to try and sell
