Hi tony-bones Its a suspected abs sensor causing a 2 second buzzing noise when braking at low speed... doesnt happen when braking a bit harder....no codes have come up and no warning light but I've been advised by my local garage to wait till light comes on then take it to main dealer...which I think will be expensive.. I only paid £1000 for the car with July 14 mot and full fifteen stamp service book (108,000 miles). ....??

Help guys please.... Does anyone know of a good independent near the Brighton area ? ... I need to get an ABS sensor done soon ... Merry Christmas All .....

Update : my garage couldn't find any codes, the car wouldn't 'communicate' with their scanner ? ... however he was 99% sure its an ABS sensor causing the noise and without the code it could be any one of them. The warning light is not on so I was advised to wait until it does then go to a main dealer for diagnostics to identity the faulty one. Quite fed up really because he was saying this won't be cheap... does anyone know a trustworthy independent near the Brighton area ? Cheers

Hi IHgs300 Garage did short road test yesterday, mechanic thinks its ABS issue. It's going back in tomorrow to scan for any codes but he doesn't think there'll be any ??...will update when I know more ... Cheers

Hi Guys I just bought a '98 GS300 (last week ) and it seems to have the same problem ?? a buzzing noise with a slight grind for about 2 seconds .... did you find out what it was and how to fix it ?? and was it expensive ? as a newbie I'd really appreciate some help .... thanks john

Hi all, got my '98 GS300 last week and there's a short (about 2 seconds) sort of buzzing/grating noise from the brake pedal when braking gently coming to a stop. I can also feel a slight vibration through my foot. It doesn't do it when I stamp on the brakes .... any ideas guys ? getting a bit worried ...

Hi everyone, My name is John and I've just scrapped an Alfa GTV needing about £1000 spent on it for MOT ...and bought this week a blue GS for guess how much ? ... yep a grand. .. very happy so far ....its a bit different driving over the potholes and sleeping policemen !!... it needs a headlight jet washer cover for the passenger side (the little two hole squirty thing) ... my car is blue but I could spray paint one ? ... anyone know where I can get one please ? ....I'd be grateful for any expertise and advice. ..
