  1. Hi Paul. Thanks for this. Unfortunately the battery has been off conditioning for a few days, ready for a summer of fun, so this isn't the fix I was looking for. Thanks again. Paul.
  2. Hi Everyone. Hope you can help. My Sc continually feeds hot air regardless of the temp I set the controls at. It's almost as though the system thinks the car is very cold and requires heating all the time. I also don't seem to get any air to the windscreen even on a demist setting. I am hoping the system is computerised and simply needs a re-boot. Is this the case? or am I looking at new parts. One or two bars of the LCD display are missing in the segment which shows external temperature. Is this a clue? Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated. A trip to the dealer looks inevitable at this point. Look forward to hearing from you. Paul.
  3. Can anyone tell me if they have found an insurance company willing to insure a 2002 SC on a classic type policy. Even though this is a third car, for high days and holidays on a 3000 mile policy, It's still being insured as if it was a daily driver. I've gone from paying £175 for a 5litre Merc SL to £575 for this SC, and I'm treating them both the same. I have plumped for Adrian Flux as they are the preferred insurer of this website, but would be willing to cancel and change, if it might save me a bob or two. Thanks.
  4. Thank You for your kind words everyone. Looking forward to the rain stopping and the lid disappearing into the boot.
  5. Hi Everyone Recently bought a great 2002 SC to use on fine weekends, high days and Holidays and could not find anyone who would provide me with a classic vehicle type insurance. Even though it is a third car on a 3000 mile max policy. I ran out of time so eventually plumped for Adrian Flux as it is recommend through this site, but still treated as though it would be my daily driver, which it certainly isn't. (I'm no Shiekh!!) Hence I've gone from paying £178 for a 5 litre Merc SL to £570 for the SC, with no end of hoops to jump through, even though I shall be treating them both the same. If anyone can help it may be worth me cancelling the AF policy and starting again. Thanks for helping.
  6. Hi Everyone. Just got back from collecting the new "old girl" from Cornwall. What a fantastic journey, wafting along without fear of the aroma of fuel or the smell of burning oil, or scary metallic rubbing sounds. (What I usually get with my "weekend cars". Anyway, as promised here are some photos. Am I right in thinking the colour is what Lexus call Indigo Ink Pearl?
  7. Hello everyone. Can't wait to pick up my 2002 SC from Cornwall next week, and get it back to Sunny Devon !! Went to replace my storm damaged SL but just couldn't resist the SC after a long luxurious test drive. It's obviously blue, but would this be what lexus call Indigo Ink? I'll post some photos once I get it. Dimmer
