  1. Anyone got any ideas what could be the problem?
  2. Hello, I recently took my Lexus IS200 to the local garage for a number of small jobs. One was to remove a CD that was stuck. The CD player kept coming up with error messages and eventually wouldn't eject the CD. When they returned the car the CD was removed but the Sat Nav screen was open and won't close. The Open/Close and Tilt buttons have no affect, but their LEDs are still lit. There is a constant whirring coming from the Sat Nav screen when you turn on the key to ignition or to the ACC position. I gently tried to close the screen and it can go down in the tilt increments but as soon as you take your hand off it goes to the open position. Does anyone know how to fix this or what is going on?
  3. Thanks for the info Chris. Which dealer did you go to?
  4. The car has only done 22350 miles. I imagine the cambelt is in fairly good condition judging by the look of all the auxilary belts. I'm only getting the cambelt done due to the age of the car. Do I really need a water pump change? Its a very low milage.
  5. Hi Rich, I think Jemca is Lexus Edgware Road. There seem to be a few negative posts about them though. Rayleigh seems a bit far. I'm on the other side of London. I phoned a garage I used to go to. They quoted me £490 with genuine Lexus parts or £385 without. Lexus Dealers only charge £375!
  6. I need to get a cambelt change on an IS200 SE Auto. It's only got 22250 on the clock but it's 10 years old. Can anyone recommend a reliable garage in North West London to do this? Does anyone have experience of Lexus Edgware Road? I've heard varying stories about them.
  7. The last garage I went to only fitted the front tyres, but yes you would have thought they would have mentioned.
  8. Thanks scudney & Barney, I just wanted to make sure it was alright with this configuration. When I got the front tyres the garage I went to probably didn't know the standard size. After a while i noticed they had put 205s on because the rear axle had a 205 on one side and a 215 on the other! God knows how it passed the MOT with different sizes on the same axle. Obviously I don't go to the garage that put the rear tyres on anymore.
  9. Hi, I've got a Lexus IS 200 SE Auto with Standard 17" Alloys. On the rear the tyres are the standard 215/45 R17 but my front tyres are 205/45 R17. I wanted to know if this was OK? Is it safe and will it adversely affect the car in any way?
