Hi all,
I have joined this forum site as i am out of ideas on this problem so here goes..
I lowered my lexus is200 2000 reg a year ago, i dropped it 40mm to just get the wheels to set just under the arch so its not slammed just better at corners and looks meaner, after a few months i started to chew my front tyres up where the toe had changed and the outter ball joints had worn out... so no big deal as tyres where on the replace list any way and ball joints are only £20 for both sides so i installed the new ball joints replaced tyres and went to my local garage were they set up my toe, camber and chaster all back to spec and in line.. and the car felt great as soon as i left garage it felt how a car should, with cornering and high speed drives. But 6 months later the lower ball joints on both front wheels went, knew this would happened with lowering the car so as with other joints i replaced them and problem was sorted then 2 months after the upper joints on wish bone went so also replaced but then the roll bar drop links went after that and now all the joins have been wearing out really fast.. the way its going i have to replace the whole front end ball joints every 6 months and i have spoken to garages and tuning garages and they all say that some thing is wrong if this is happening as i should at least get a year out of them.. so here is my question is something wrong that i have missed on setting the car up or am i buy the wrong type of parts??? I have looked for heavy duty wear ball joints with no luck
any helpful comments or web links would be great
