  1. Thanks Steve, I will have a look at it over the weekend. Got a few ideas from this forum and others but I will be surprised if the air bags haven't been damaged in some way. Will report my findings next week.
  2. We have a '93 LS400 directly imported from Japan in '92 (Toyota Celsior)which has been laid up without a battery for nearly 4 years. The suspension had "settled" or "collapsed" during this time. Today we put a battery on and she started FIRST TIME!!! Very pleased. However, I had assumed that the suspension would jack itself up again once the car was running, but no such luck! I have switched from normal to high ride height but no difference. My question is simple - where do I look first, what are the most likely problems? This car is a gold badge with only 66,000 kilometers on the clock and immaculate in every way so I hope very much that I am not facing a huge repair bill - it would be a huge shame to scrap her. The only other thing I should say is that the dashboard diagnostics and displays are all in Japanese characters, so even if the car is trying to tell me something, I cant read it!!!

  4. To MikeL near Chester or anyone else who knows. I could do with the name of that mobile service for keys and re-programming - I have Japan import LS400 Gold Badge with only one key - no remote and Lexus UK say they can't help!
  5. We have a '98 Gold Badge LS400 imported as Celsior from Japan. The Sat Nav and console are still in Japanese, is there a source for English Language Chip-set to convert. Not worried about the actual switches being Japanese, but must ensure that the new chips don't upset the ECU and Security System On Security - I have failed miserable to get a new key cut and programmed for it. Lexus UK say that they don't have the codes required to programme a new key. HELP!
