  1. Nice, who did those If you don’t mind me asking? My diamond cuts will need doing at some point, but would like to keep them looking standard & wondered if I could get them redone with the original gun metal grey, but with the front coated silver to mimic the original polished finish. Wasn’t sure if this was possible until I saw your wheels!
  2. @RCF5v8 Thanks for the info - will probably just get the dealer to sort it as that will be quicker I suspect. My car is pretty low mileage, so just changed the original tyres as I was concerned about rubber being beyond its best, even though there was plenty of tread left. Similar situation with my previous ISF, which was even lower mileage, so this is actually the first time I’ve had to change tyres in nearly 10 years on a Lexus.
  3. Didn’t realise this as I have recently had 4 new tyres & 4 wheel alignment done by tyre specialist. I take it I need the dealer to sort this? - pity as the car was serviced on Saturday!
  4. Thanks for posting the pics of the interior - wow looks stunning, love it👍🏻
  5. Wow those costs really do make a replacement exhaust without the fake tips issue an even more sensible option now than it was back when I owned my ISF!!
  6. Congratulations & welcome to the club. The car looks stunning!! Always been partial to red leather & must be the only one in the uk with that colour combo? Like to see some more pictures of the interior when you get the opportunity! They are a great car, so I’m sure you will have some fun drives a head 👍🏻
  7. Problem with the original exhaust fake tips is they have a habit of falling off when the spot welds corrode, so if u do manage to find any, probably worth getting the welds re done. They are some £400 per corner new from Lexus as they also have a resonator cone assembly as well. There is a picture in one of the threads on here somewhere. When I had my ISF, losing exhaust tips was one of the few issues that came up occasionally and when faced with the replacement cost it made changing to the H&S system an attractive option when comparing the overall costs. if u wanted more sound it was a no brainer, so was popular!
  8. I’d read on another threads on here that the Conti 7s compound is apparently not as hard wearing as the PS4S. That’s confirms it. I had intended to change my PSS’s for PS4S’s, but have been considering the Conti 7s for the better performance. However I only do sub 2k a year, so the wear is not such an issue for me.
  9. I found TWG very helpful when I spoke to them regarding my Quicksilver exhaust / extended warranty, so TBH I’m glad it’s them administering the 10+ warranty. Thanks for the heads up on the dealerships that know about the 10+ and will try them if I have any issues with Lexus Woodford👍🏻
  10. Thanks Colin that’s very helpful. I will contact my dealership next year & see how knowledgeable they are 👍🏻
  11. Thanks for that bit of info Colin, as that was something else I didn’t know & TWG didn’t mention when I contacted them at the end of my extended warranty in February. I was considering what to do on my cars tenth year & now I know! TWG also gave the impression that they were no longer dealing with Lexus warranties, so does that mean some other group are dealing with the 10yr+ warranty you mention?
  12. I remember when I was researching for any known issues with the ISF, many moons ago, & there had been a few cases of failed headlights which if I remember correctly were some £800 each. It was that which convinced me that the extended warranty for £895 for two years (inc European breakdown cover) was a no brainer. I hadn’t realised until this thread that the relax warranty was not as comprehensive as the previous extended warranty! Like others have said I would be happy to pay a top up to get the warranty to match the cover of the discontinued extended warranty. Seems like a sure way of irritating owners who have been used to the idea of being covered for these rare, but potentially very expensive failures.
  13. If you check previous posts about the cracked manifold issue on this forum @Womble72 had GSF manifolds fitted to fix this issue, done by Westfields Lexus/Toyota specialists in Rawreth, Essex. I seem to remember him mentioning having to adjust the heat shield, but best to check his post. Best of luck getting it sorted👍🏻
  14. Yes thankfully my RCF isn’t either🤞🏻
  15. Thanks for the info, I will look into that👍🏻
  16. Unfortunately no, have always been concerned I might accidentally damage the paint!
  17. I think that is probably true, but the Quicksilver was developed with Lexus Uk for The RCF’s Debut at the Goodwood FoS & apparently Lexus engineers were involved in its development. Lexus Cheltenham actually fitted most (if not all) of the exhausts from the group buy I was part of. I also contacted TWG who ran the Lexus extended warranty at the time who confirmed it wouldn’t invalidate the warranty - the thread from then is on here sometime back in 2018 I think.
  18. I hadn’t realised how much I relied on the revs when driving until I struggled to hear them at lower rpms in my previous ISF & was another reason for wanting to change the exhaust on my RCF along with hearing more of the V8.
  19. Seems that a lot of people who buy F’s & post on this forum want to hear more of the V8, so not sure that it would be an issue come resale, & like others I kept my original exhaust in case.
  20. All the F’s have the same issue from the factory. I didn’t get round to changing the exhaust on my previous ISF, but jumped at joining a group buy for the Quicksilver exhaust as I was determined not to make the same mistake with the RCF & I’m so glad I did. There is a little drone at motorway cruising speed, but from my perspective it’s so much better than the standard exhaust. However I do appreciate that the exhaust sound & tolerance to any drone is a very personal thing. I’m sure a valved system will be a better more practical option, but it’s also a much more expensive one. l’m very happy with the Quicksilver & it completely changed my enjoyment of the car, so I hope you find a system that suits, as you will not regret changing it to release the full V8. Good luck👍🏻
  21. Sad day Paul & hope to still hear how you are doing👍🏻
  22. Had service, MOT & recall work done yesterday- slight smell of fuel vapour initially, but gone by the time I got home. They confirmed work done by removing rear seats - dropped off at 8:00am & all done by 16:00 for me to pick up.
  23. Westfield is where I will be going for anything other than servicing for MD stamp. Not had cause to use them yet for my previous ISF or current RCF, but as I plan on keeping the latter I will be probably for brakes at some point. The ISF is a great car, so best of luck with the search.
  24. SRD did RR racing supercharger upgrade to @Peter P18 ISF, so they have a good reputation - his build threads are all on here. Westfield also have a good reputation and @Womble72 has uses them for servicing for years.
