It's the bolt that goes throught the hinges that has snapped. The whole hinge has to be changed costing £230! I have a 15yr old ford fiesta that still has its doors attached without ever needing lubrication! Lexus pah!

Lexus has refused to help in any way at all!!

I went back to lexus today they never seen anything like it either but just told me to go to their recommended bodyshop ro get a quote for repairs! Do you think i should write to lexus UK?

Hi all Has anyone heard of the doors falling off a Lexus GS450h? We bought the 450h used about a year and a half ago from a non Lexus dealer the rear passenger door has always been a really stiff to open and close but we didnt really think much about it. That was until this morning when we opened the door it seemed lose which surprised us then on further opening the whole door dropped and luckily enough we held on to it and managed to close it. I think the top hinge has gone but still held by the bottom hinge which is probably a bit twisted and broken now. We daren't open the door just in case the whole door falls to the ground! Do you know if it would be best to take it lexus or back to the dealer we bought it from ? We've been told by this dealer that its no longer under warranty.

Hi all Im going to be changing my alloy wheels does anybody know the correct size for them please? i know they are 18inch diameter but not sure about the width and are they same front and back. Thanks

Hi all Im going to be installing a new set of plates on my gs450h Ive had a look at the mounting and it seems like the plates are stuck on with mounting tape. whats the best way of removing the plates especially on the front bumper as i dont want to pull the mounting box away from the bumper. Picked up a used gs450h on wednesday very impressed with the car but gear knob a little worn so thinking of replacing it my question is it as simple as unscrewing the gear knob off or are there screws etc that need to be undone first? Heres a photo of my new baby...

Hope im not going to have this problem with the tyre pressure sensor everytime I change tyre! Is thus common?

Noooo! Just had a call from dealer its not gonna be ready saturday as they had to change a tyre and broke the sensor! I was getting really excited too:-(

Thanks for the welcome It will indeed be my first Lexus and I was very impressed with it. Ive driven mercedes e class and bmw 3series before but after test driving the gs450h I can definitely say its a class above! Really looking forward to getting the keys on saturday!
