  1. Thanks for all your ideas Guys. Really appreciate it ! The light comes on again on average 3 to 4 weeks. I am told that the system is always reset but not being tech minded I assume that is equates to resetting the ECU or would that be an additional job ? Are o2 sensors expensive to change ? or is their an alternative supply source ? Cheers fellas You can reset your ecu by just taking battery off for 30mins, or taking 2 fueses out (not sure without looking) o2 sensors easy to change, there are 3, 2 on your manifold and one under the car by the cat, not sure on price as ive never had to get one, but you may be better to find out the one thats at fault (if at all).

  3. Hi Everyone. I really need some help or advice please ? I have a IS200 sport with a supercharger conversion fitted by Janspeed/TTE in Salisbury. I actually bought the car already fitted with it from a Lexus dealer. I have the most annoying problem of an intermittant engine warning light illuminating on the dash although there is no chnage in performance or reliability. Took it to Lexus Main dealer and they claim either fuel sensor problem or new exhaust cat. Fault code was PK 250 i recall. Has anyone come across this before and will it be very costly to rectify ? or is it something remarkably simple due to the fact the car is running as if. The car has been back 7 times now so very frustrated as you can imagine. Any help would be great ? Krgds Martin martinwills33@hotmail.com or 07894 606397
  4. Hi All, Can anyone give me some assistance or advice please. I have an IS200 sport with a superhcharger fitted. The engine warning light has started to intermittantly come on. On both occasions the car has been returned to the main dealer whom have reset the ecu and it runs fine. The fault code quoted is PO 420 which indicated an airflow or cat problem. Lexus have suggested fitting a new CAT which is mega expensive but the car is only 3 years old with 45 thousand miles. Im not convinced this is the problem. Has anyone got any suggestions as to a solution ?. Would appreciate any helpful comments. Many Thanks Martin
  5. Hi Guys I have a IS200 sport 03 and the car keeps breading down due to a fault with the Manifold air pressure sensor apparantly. Thats what the AA have told me when they have towed me 4 times in the last four weeks. The sensor has been replaced and the ECU reset on 3 different occasions. Has anyone heard of this before ? It has the main dealer stumped..... ps. The car is fitted with a Janspeed supercharger but I have had trouble free motoring for the last two years ... Any advice would be well recieved. Thanks Martin

  7. Hi Guys... Have just got round to posting some piccies of my supercharged lexus IS200 Sport. Purchased from Lexus in Reading with FSH from lexus and a warrenty. I had the back box removed from the exhaust at Janspeed becasue to be honest it was very unsightly and very loud and now looks much better without it... Have lost a bit of power but still kicks out about 200 BHP to the back wheels. Could be up for sale if the price is right ???? let me know what you think... Cheers Martin :D
  8. Hi Guys... I have just purchased an 2 year old IS200 sport with a Janspeed supercharged engine from a Lexus main dealer in Reading... I found the performance staggering but the handling was quite twichy and somewhat frightening....this vehicle was totally sanctioned by lexus and came with a full lexus service history... Your all going to hate me for this but i took it to Janspeed in Salisbury and had them remove the exhaust manifest and blow pipe as it looked a little ridiculous but it still has 175 BHP to the back wheels with a total of 200 BHP complete.. removing the exhaust apparently reduced the power by 25 % but it had to be done as the car felt very nervous indeed. The MD of Janspeed is the only other Guy whom has one of these and I have seen it....awesome... If anyone wants to buy it in a few years time let me know....it looks fab in met black, 18 inch alloys and full sports styling kit..... will try n post a few pics in the gallery in the near future....cheers
