Car Won't Start! Battery Drain Problem?

Re flat battery. I found that the boot light stayed on. To check fold down the rear centre arm rest and open the zip on the boot opening and see if the light is on. If it is and you do not need the boot light disconnect the wire to the light or if you need the light find the mercury switch and adjust it. I could not find the switch! -
