They always look flat to me, hard cornering with 45s and the wheel rim would be on the road. My lad's got low profiles on his Audi, and it's like being on a dirt track bike, every bump whacking you up the barcelona !!

Did find a discrepancy in the engine section it says 32 valve DOHC, Well to my understanding it's a quad cam engine. Interesting to understand how the VSC works, Also says fuel should be 95 ron is that normal unleaded have been using momentum since I bought the LS

I have the same colour green but with black leather (shows every bit of dust/debris etc) I would have loved the beige interior, I think it really looks the part of a luxury sedan. The green one you are going to look at was sold around July/August time for around the price it is at now if I remember right. I was looking to buy another around that time but after looking at a few and clocking up miles I gave up, came to the conclusion that I wont find another as good as the one I have, because people are holding onto them

Andy Believe me the little jump starters on ebay and amazon do indeed start my ls400 with ease. not once but several times on the same charge and also my neighbours astra a couple of times. The one I have in the lexus in fact both of them came with the adapter to charge the unit, adapters to charge phone batteries and laptop, comes in a neat zip case about 8 inches x 4" x 4" takes around 2 to 3 minutes to open bonnet fit/start/pack away, job done. I looked at the bulky ones from various places but didn't want it flying around in the boot, the little one I keep in the zip case and the box it was delivered in nice and neat.

I'm with alien1974 in liking the back wheels better, would like a set for mine in place of the originals. But the DHPs are also very nice and possibly more exclusive as they are off an uprated 400 I like the wheels fitted standard on the SC430 Jim

Hi royzels I purchased a suoaki jump pack from amazon around this time last year, will start a car up to 6 litre. and I can confirm that it works I charged the pack last year when purchased (just topped it up really) since then it has started my 400 at least 4 times my neighbours car 4 or 5 times, all without recharging the unit. last used this morning as I hadn't used the car for a couple of days, and last time used had rear demister, air con, heated seats, lights and wipers on so even with nearly new battery still get high drain from battery. So impressed with this jump pack (actually it is a car starter and does not put any charge into the battery, only starts the car) that I purchased a second one for my commercial vehicle, and yes it starts diesel engines also. Great little addition to the clutter in your boot. And hope everyone had a great christmas and a happy new year to all. Jim

I'ii second that Tulpen, I am only 3 years into ownership, but I use it every day even if only to get my morning paper ? I have a work vehicle which is also getting on to be a classic which is also fun to drive, but the LS just seems to "FIT" whatever your mood it performs to suit, never fails to put a smile on my face Long live the LS.

Looks like someone is sleeping in the first one, if it sells they won't have a roof over their heads.

If memory serves me right, from the pictures then it looked like it was on a farm or small holding. I can't remember what it went for but I know it wasn't the sort of money they are asking now. Hi Mark I think most batteries are measured to the top of the terminal, not saying that you have measured wrong. Bought mine from Tayna batteries earlier this year, they list 6 or 7 for the LS430 all are around 220 - 225 to top of terminals. The problem on the mk 4 was the little protrusions at the bottom did not allow most batteries to fit into the tray but the one listed on tayna was perfect.

Hi IanA2 I have just ordered a new battery for my ls400. Problems was that many batteries would not fit as the tray size is tight I wanted a high amp one but in the end had to find out the battery that was currently fitted and which on mine was an Exide eb704 or trade code is 030 found a 030te which is the premier range with higher power for urban usage (short journeys in traffic) on the internet. What he was banned for was not an issue, nor did I comment on the fact. The issue is that you are suggesting that all other members should not post links or comment on vehicles he has for sale. That to me is censorship at the extreme. Regarding other member who appear to be traders, I fail to see why it should of concern to "the moderators" whether they have gold membership or not. No one suggested that anyone was selling on Loc. Yes I do remember posting that comment when Chasdad was trying to sell the LS400 he had recently purchased. Which just about re-enforces my comment that some members get entertainment and some humour from discussions of this sort. I am totally indifferent to this guy in Dudley, but I am opposed to suggestions that we should refrain from commenting on his vehicles when we are allowed to comment on any other vehicle seen on Ebay, autotrader or the like. Although there was no need for the comments he left on the bottom of his ebay page, I also think that banning Loc members from posting links and comments regarding "his cars" would again be unfair. Some members do find entertainment in the discussions regarding this person. Apart from that censoring him would only lead to finding a new target. There are other members on Loc that appear to be traders in some way or another and don't get slagged off the same as this guy. I will add before someone asks No I do not know or have any association with this guy. But am guilty of looking at his and others listings on ebay. As Scribe said, it's banger money and £1100 sounds to be reasonable looking at the pictures. A couple of things I noticed. The passenger temp display is playing up by the looks of it. What's the seat belt buckle in the drivers socket,? unless it was driven by an expectant mum? Other than that it's corrosion on the underside that needs looking for, but you can expect some it is 16 years old
