  1. Further to the issue of tyre wear here are answers to comments made by others: The pressures are as per the Lexus specification. This was checked, as was the tracking, by Lexus and an independant specialist. The tyres start with outside/ inside wear and then the warning trip shows up. In January I changed all four tyres because all 4 showed the same degree of wear. At present the front are beginning to shopw outside wear at 20K. miles. Lexus were surpriosed and thought these tyres were the original. Please note that these are low profile and this is my first experience of low profile.
  2. My IS 300 has just had the 20,000 service. I am my SECOND set of tyres and the service report stated that the front were showing signs on wear and would need replacing soon. I was also told that the front breaks needed replacing. The tyres were fitted in February this year and have not even reached 10,000 miles. I was told be tyre dealer that I should expect between 15 and 20K miles but the dealer thought, that because of the weight of the car, the type of tyres (Bridgestone Potenza) should be questioned. A set of tyres every 10K miles is expensive and in my view not acceptable. The Lexus dealership have confirmed that tracking and balance is within spec. Anyone have similar situation?.
  3. As suggested you can order from a dealership or direct from: Toyota Parts Gt Britain, Shackleton Way LE17 4XP Part # 08664-50891 Be prepared to spend £375.00 as that is the cost but may be a bit more expensive through a dealership :tsktsk:
  4. Many Thanks Matthew. I have located the DVD center and it is a very simple operation to change the DVD. I now have the latest version although it still does not have my own street which is 2 years old!!
  5. I have received a DVD to upgrade the Sat Nav system for my IS 300 Sedan . There are no instructions with the DVD or in the various manuals . I understand that the DVD is housed somewhere in the trunk (boot) but I have not been able to locate it. Has anyone changed a DVD?. It looks a fairly simple exercise and therefore I am a bit reluctant to take the car to a dealer because the nearest one to me is 120 miles away. Comments qwill be helpful and appreciated KennyJ.
  6. I have been advised that all 4 tyres require changing after just 15000miles. The fitted tyres are Bridgestone Potenza 15/45ZR17. I feel that this mileage is very low. I have been quoted a fitted price of £600 for the 4 tyres but I feel that an annual expense of £600 for tyres is steep. I was also quoted £400 for equivalent Avon tyres. Anyone had any previous experience with Bridgestone?. In the past I used them in the US and I was also disappoibnted with the low mileage achieved. KennyJ
