can someone tell me if the 1996 ls 400 ecus are immobilised or not its the none vvti one am i right in thinking that immobilisation came on or after 1998

hi everyone just wondered if anyone knows where i can get a replacement lcd and someone to solder it in for my lexus ls400 pioneer radio model number kex-m9076zt the part number for the lcd is cwm5077 found 1 in the states but out of stock hoping there is someone in the uk who can do the job

wanting to swap my engine ecu on my 1996 las 400 can anyone tell me if this is just plug and play or does it need to be coded in to the car

hi this is rather a complicated and drawn out post so bear with me we have a 1996 ls 400 some weeks ago we lost a secondary 02 sensor had this replaced only to find we had the dreaded split egr pipe (forgot to say car has been converted to lpg ) we did the delete rather than replace the pipe still have valve connected but blanked off sinc doing the delete car runs OK but will not accelerate properly and uses excessive fuel (like 1 mile to £1 of fuel) not good also wont switch over to gas as quickly as before its an obd1 and have managed to get some codes out which are as follows 21,27,28,29,31.71 replaced air filter and tried to clear the codes but they are still there ordered another maf thinking that might be the problem but am now at my wits end trying to sort this out car ran well before the lambda senser blew out although it had a blow on the exhaust which was welded up heres hoping that someone on here can help please just 1 other thing car used to start 1st time every time before this trouble now it takes 2 or 3 goes to get her going

since having the battery off to charge i have a slight prob when u open the left front door on the dash it says right front and vice versa is ther something ive done wrong or can it be reset everything else works fine

same with my mk4 its a 2000 and i had to do the 6min thing as well

many thanks lads all sorted now was the imobilser used the 6 min key trick and started first time thanks to all the lads on here that gave me info especially steve2006 without his knowledge i would have been stumped

had battery off to charge put back on now will not fire up turns over fine as if no fuel or spark also vsc light is on now check vsc any help please

aye originally from leeds but now in hull i have anothe ls400 as well a 1996 gold edition with the phone in which actually is in better nick than the w plate 1 also a nissan 300zx tt

no column didn t move but the car turns over on the key which is past the ignition controled items its weird

this may have been on before but heho here goes drove car home as normal and left it 4 a few days went to start it as normal car started but no dash lights no radio heater sat nav front central locking computer indicators wipers speedo rev counter but headlight hazards leccy seats horn all work awe by the way cant get out of park unless u use the overide button checked the 120amp white alternator fuse also 80 amp main fuse also 30 amp amp2 fuse replaced them all battery seems ok immobiliser only works if u lock the front 2 doors on the key cause they wont lock on the button didnt do owt with it just stood for a few days and all this happened anyone any ideas why took battery off to charge now it turns over ok but wont fire either now its a 2000 w reg ls400

got a ls400 gold with stabdard radio and cd changer want to fit a handsfree kit as mentioned above can someone please advise what i need to do this as in extra bits how easy/ diff is it and also how to remove the standard head unit please
