  1. I’ve got that exact pouch. Works perfectly. It has a pouch to stop the key signal getting out and another pouch that allows the signal to get out, so it stops your key fob getting scratched to hell in your pocket. I like it. And my iPhone fits in it.
  2. I use whatever is on offer at Halfords. Redex a couple of months ago, but dropped the bottle on the drive, it cracked and lost most of it. Millers is my favourite, I have an uncle who ran an HGV fleet and they swore by Millers.
  3. Pivot as ^^^^. Spray your WD40 and smell it for days in the car, better than any air freshener.
  4. Cleaning them up does work. My car was looked after by a Lexus dealer prior to me buying it. <crap> The sliders were seized on the rear callipers, they don’t check to see if they slide, just check the pads. I had to really clout mine with a rubber hammer and crowbar to release them. They were cleaned up and haven’t been an issue since. Checked every year.
  5. Why don’t you have a go at stripping it down? May be a faulty connection or water ingress.
  6. One of the Pound shops sell a blister pack of nylon brushes, perfect for scrubbing car tyres, rubber trim and getting into the difficult areas. Guess how much?
  7. What are they replacing the whole front suspension? We replaced the daughters Mito upper bearings late last year in about an hour and a half, they cost £25 for a pair. Squirt them with some WD40, if the noise abates you’ve confirmed the issue, but £700, they’re taking the proverbial.
  8. The reversing camera is an aid to reversing and should be used in conjunction with your eyes, mirrors and sensors. It’s invaluable where I live due to children playing in the cul de sac as I reverse off my drive, but I don’t solely rely on it.
  9. Zombie thread, comparing and commenting on a 14 year old thread.
  10. Blow up. auto is auto. S is sequential, but still sequential of an auto box, you selecting a gear limits the car to that gear as comedian said.
  11. Sorted...... I have cleaned and sprayed all the induction components with cleaners, there isn't a cleaner induction system in the county. I bit the bullet and took off the throttle body, first disconnected the battery and left it for an hour, I believe you have to let the capacitors lose there charge. The throttle body was sprayed and left to soak for several hours and basted every 30 minutes with the cleaning fluid. It was put back together, battery connected and turned on the ignition. I waited for all the clinking and clunking of the electronics to finish and the car started with a cough, I left it to idle for five minutes and then took it for a drive. A lot better................... the solvent in my plastic container was dirty and there was a lot of grit in the bottom. I may consider taking it off again in the summer and leaving it soaking for longer.
  12. The OP’s post which I thought was about a new moderator being appointed. Then along cane a random photo of some car parts. I had to get out my worry beads to calm my inner self. I’m still upset.
  13. I would need to know exactly what he means if I was paying the bill.
  14. God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, And wisdom to know the difference.
  15. I didn’t put forward an opinion I just offered information from an American engineer. Take it or leave it.
  16. It was ironic, hence the emoticon. FFS. Does everybody see in black and white, missing out the grey scales? My wife’s cousin took part in the Paralympics, she is a blue badge holder and she can jump. Frigging snowflakes. Mods please ban me, I can’t take much more.
  17. I think Malcolm knew what I meant. I thought everyone on here knew Rayaans was a doctor especially a mod’ If I were in charge of blue badge issue you’d have to jump through a lot of hoops to get one.
  18. You completely twisted or didn’t bother to read and understand what Rayaans said on the matter. Tut tut.
  19. Once a year. I did them last week when I did oil and filter on both cars. They were as free as a bird when I checked them, but they were dismantled, cleaned and re-greased. Its such an easy job.
  20. It did a cracking job. Took all the advice I found on the WWW and did it on a cloudy day, and took it very slowly and gently. It certainly beats hand polishing. Chemical Guys on YouTube are the best for advice.
