  1. Looking nice mate in red. I took them back out the bin and i have decided to give them a good spray and refit them.
  2. Ok took them out the bin as removed them today as there quite scratched. But if there rare could be worth a respray and refit? Hmmm what you all think?
  3. Really cause I have just taken them off as they are scratched to hell? Worth keeping and respraying?
  4. Ok that clears it up more for me, sorry for all the questions, always confused me the xeon kits and then just the bulbs. I think ill go for the kit then, and fit it next week (when it arrives). Going for 5000k kit on dipped, leave the full beam as it is (as its already bright enough, but not white more yellow tint, so might replace them at some point, no rush) and fog lights ill leave too as they never get used anyway (very rare to get fog where we are in Liverpool, uk) Would these be ok? There 35w so use less than the 55w someone else added on a earlier post. Is the lower the wattage the better as im assuming uses less power but the same outcome? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-IS200-99-01-XENON-UK-HID-Conversion-kit-9006-35W-UK-/161052299949?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item257f7712ad
  5. Ok thanks everyone. The ones i have on now are streaky on driver side so if it rains i cant see at all out the window, unless im nearly lying down on seat haha
  6. Ok thanks a lot, clears it up. So the kits, the Xeon kits are they easy to fit? Because I also have a focus and I had the option of Xeon kit or just replace the bulbs, so went with replace bulbs which takes less than 5 minutes. The Xeon kits look like they need wiring etc. So really what I'm wondering is, whether it would be just as effective to replace just the bulbs to say 5000k or fit a Xeon kit? Sorry for all the questions
  7. I'm more worried about price. Don't want to be spending loads on blades when I can get the same cheaper. Just wondering what everyone else had 😊
  8. Hi need new blades and wondering on the best replacement blades. Looked on ebay and the Bosch seem the most expensive so are they the best? Thanks
  9. Those Xeon kits, why fit them? Cant I just fit hid bulbs? Seems a bit of work just to swap out a bulb.
  10. Thanks everyone, the standard ones that came with car are a joke, don't even light the road up.
  11. So to clarify before i order, im best getting the 5000k hid bulbs for the dipped and fog lights? And what about the high beams? Get 5000k for them too or just get standard bulbs?
  12. So, am best getting 5000k bulbs for main and dipped? And yellow bulbs for fog? I just think yellow looks old
  13. Hi i have the cd changer in my boot, which i assume is the one that comes with the car, however there is no drive in it. Does anyone know where i can get the drive or can i fit any cd changer (the whole item). OR am i best just fitting a cd player in the dash? Cheers
  14. Just been informed by a group on Facebook that this Lexus has a OEM spoiler, Veilside skirt, TTE rear bumper and TRD front bumper. Also the alloys are from the 2005 model onwards. So feeling rather happy about that :)
  15. Thanks, Is there a reason why you wouldnt recommend 6000k? I always thought the higher the better, more crisper brighter.
  16. Hi, Just wondering what exact bulbs do i need to get a HID kit installed for high, low and fog lights? Looking online and there is so many types. Also can you install the blue tint kits, where there so white they have a blue hint to the light? Or do i need crystal white? Its for a 2000 is200. Thanks in advance
  17. Thanks a lot, its done 172k miles, which i was worried about but after reading on here and speaking to two seperate mechanics in Liverpool they say they last forever, one mechanic had one and his had done 350k+ miles so im happy with that
  18. Hey everyone, from Liverpool aged 28. Have a focus 1.6 Titanium MK2 (does me well but want a change) So got myself a Lexus Is200 Sport 2Litre. Has a (apparently rare) veilside body kit fitted (been told by a mechanic they usually dont fit them to Lexus models). Car has a few issues, engine warning lights showing up (turns out the ECU needs replacing, power steering pump needs replacing and slight leak in left side of boot. So thats all getting sorted over next few days (costing around £300). From there im going to be fitting HID bulbs until i get new Lights themselves, seen some nice tinted ones online or the halo lights look nice too. The alloys are getting a makeover from current condition to black gloss. Fog lights will also be getting replaced too. Body itself has a few scratches, scuffs so with a touch up bodykit can resolve that. (heard i need to go to Toyota for that?) Interior is in pristine condition, get some new mats front and rear, add floor lighting too over next few weeks. The audio isnt the best, previous owner installed a CD Player of his own so will be replacing that too with new rear speakers (sounds like one of them is blown). also looking into adding the sat nav which came with other models, seen one on ebay for £70 or bit more expensive with whole housing. And finally few smaller touches like white lighting behind speed dial, regas AC, battery isnt on full charge even when running for a few days, might be a old battery get that replaced and then focus on backside, replace brakes, etc. If anyone has any advice or tips by all means fire away :)
  19. I have just bought a 2000 is200 sport manual, done 173k miles, bought for £450 with a veilside bodykit too. Issues I have are the ECU has gone ( so shows up all sorts of errors on dash), the tyres need replacing ( very bald), front fog light has gone on right side, leak in boot left side, power steering motor has gone and needs replacing. But apart from that everything else is ok, only costs £300 to repair all issues.
  20. Be careful with the HID kits as when it comes down to the mot they can fail you on them. Just a word of caution. Its because of the age of the cars, the HID weren't around at the time. Something to do with the reflectors in the lights, with the hid kits the light bounces all over the place and can blind oncoming drivers etc.
  21. Hi all, quick update. Had a mobile mechanic come out who did a diagnostic on his computer. Turns out the ecu is goosed so needs replacing (was causing the engine light to show up, low engine oil, brake light error, etc), need new power steering pump (causing tight turn on steering) and a switch under car too. Also repairing a leak in left side of boot (which seems to be a common issue on this model). So for all that and labour charging me £300 so fingers crossed that's all sorted. Then all I need is 4 new tyres and my car is on the road.
