Alan , hi been reading manual but cannot find reference to beeps, rang local dealer but had no idea, the chappy who is clued up about the system was off work. next time in hull will pop in for a coffee and ask again, he's very good ,My RX which I traded in did nit have this on the system [2013] so it may be only on the latest models. will let you know when I find out.regards polish ps enjoy your holls

thank peter, never though of speed camera's should be safe from the greedy , never speed with the kids in the car.was heavy traffic so wasn't going fast.

hi guys, just took grandkids back to skelmersdale, going down m62 j27 leeds I got 2 quick beeps through the audio. This happened twice more about 5 miles apart. this was both going and coming back,checked manual but could not find any reference to this ,car still new to me ,still finding things out.my old rx did not have this on ,any idea's what this is. thanks in anticipation. polish

I think I must have a very well set up car ,it holds the road a lot better than the RX it replaced. Before I moved to Lexus I ran Volvo for many years last one was S80 fine car. theGS is on a par with theS80 but is a lot quieter. The only time I have had a noisy ride so far was a patch on the M18 very old course surface, wind noise was an issue for me in the RX but this car very quiet, I have not seen the lux version so carn't comment, but my three gandkids fit ok,thats all i'm botherd about . my onley criticism so far ,may be i'm wrong but it could do with larger electric moter,better qualified people will no dought tell me so .

hi guys, lots of comments regarding RX/GS change, just been on round trip to west of Manchester to see grandkids, car was very impressive on the drive .the RX would have me relocating my derriere several times even thou it was comfy 'the GS was superb, never moved once I was settled in my seat.car ran faultless all the way average on readout on dash 42 impressive. I stayed with the traffic 70+most of the time car just a standard GS executive. as I say very impressed .must be the car ? her who must be obeyed fell asleep coming back ontop of windy hill as I said VERY impressed. still finding new toys it has as standard ,on my old stamping grounds around the country lanes it is a lot better than the RX only thing we miss so far is the hatchback of the RX. polish.

hi rayaans,was thinking of the new RX or coming down to a gs 300 being a pensioner, returns on the savings are crippling so maybe wait and see . thanks polish

hi everybody , info wanted, has anybody seen the new road fund prices yet . I have been informed that new cars over £40000 will have to pay £310 per year supplement ontop of years road tax for 5 years [£1550] extra? anybody got info on this .was thinking of replacing my rx next year but having second thoughts ,Too much to hope lexus would drop price by ten ..POLISH

unleaded petrol will go with a bang diesel won't you are a very lucky boy, in your shoe's I would not let it go this is surely a safety issue that lexus should attend to. have you ever herd of MB BMW JAGS ect dropping there tanks no matter what age ,.

hi just been reading the above thread most manufacturers useualy give the heating a bius to the drivers side of the vehicle regardless of the settings you put in .hope this helps

hi have used rainx in winter but find that with wipers going while on long run they wear it away and leave screen smeared, last week 14/1/16 had to get out and clean screen with my newspaper and de-icer on'ly liquid I had in car .now have small bottle of vinegar/water backup to supplement washers .hope that helps with your choice '.

hi every one ,warranty finishes march 16, was thinking of getting new2 year warranty for 450h. have done14000 from new every- thing running perfect as it should ,have just read tincanman's blog, makes me start to think,is it worth a grand ? for piece of mind. any advice would be welcome .regards polish merry Christmas to one and all happy new year

hi every body, I seem to have solved the problem regards wind noise from drivers door. Had a good check of all doors and found a small spongy rubber just above the black strip on the inside of front door . this seems to be fastened with litle [pimples] about evey 3inchs ,this was hanging down in the middle ,fixed by double sided tape,back in place. this has cured wind noise, back to peace&quiet and all seems ok thak you all for the tips ,polish

thanks for that, never thought about silicone spray?. been out to Sheffield recently it was raining ,when we got there on opening the doors the door shuts were filthy both sides and inside of the seals. the back doors hardly ever used were clean ? could this be just warn seals , car is still under warranty but havn't involved lexus yet. on the m62 was traveling at 70mph could the speed be to blame wind noise was also high .many thanks for your help POLISH

hi , I have developed a load wind roar on drivers side,thought the door was open so slowed down to a crawl,opened /shut door wind noise markedley less. same again on jurney home ,checked all windows fully shut. still same when I got home checked door seal , ran fingers all around seal to make sure seated ok .Next trip ok comming ,but comming home same thing loud wind noise.? thinking about cars over 50years motoring from the old greymatter smeared some vaseline over seals,seems to have worked.Has any body got an issue with door seal on the RX.only don 11k on 13 plate ,.regards polish

hi guys just last month had wheels swopped round as per manual. PAUL, my local fitter pointed out front near side tyre was srubbing out side edge and to keep an eye on it .Just three weeks and front nearside was looking worse for wear .Quick call to lexus leeds and was booked in for this morning job took one hour front tracking was out, this now fixed car drives staight as a die . carn't fault leeds/lexus very good of them to book me in so quickley price was onley £60 not bad for a mane dealer any body out there had any of the same issues . hi,just been reading the threads on tyres. mine are bridgestone duelers on 19 rims still plenty of tread left car 12000ml. carnt fault these tyres ,onley noisy on bad tarmac and very direct when steering good grip in all weathers ,[thesetyres are original fit made in japan.] my previous 450 rx had goodyears not very good with such heavy car ,15000miles changed for firestones that were on offer local ,b.o.g.o.f ,,not a good choice / there scratched from the records ,any body out there got these bridgestones .have checked my local area not available? thanks .

amit 30/3 used them via my insurance [albany] never again courtesy car filthy paid more for wk than month terrible vehicle 2year old volvo xc 60 stay clear of them .

russ22 hi re wing mirror, when in auto the mirror would swing 180deg to face forward so had to use in manual mode .Dealer said that mirror has been forced round breaking internals. Lexus does not do repairs just replacements expensive?. Anyway the car, her in doors and me wanted took 18 months searching on net mostly lexus sights .London to Newcastle found it at Manchester,they offered to drive it to my home do paper work over coffee couldn't have been nicer still get calls from them to check everything ok even though have service done in leeds. hope you get a good one its well worth waiting for . goodluck

hi russell my first was a secondhand rx400 bought from lexus dealer. was a bought in car with some service history missing. It was a gamble to take with missing service history,but they said that they could check on there system for its sevicing records .they showed it was serviced by the original dealer. can you get the reg and take to your local dealer to check , better safe than sorry .mine had to have a new wing mirror fitted £650 so check be careful .

hi folks' this is my first time on the blog. I too have had poor reception with dab [not M.L] but I find the further south I go the better the dab reception . Here in Yorkshire the dab seams very intermittent, may be the hills are blocking the signal ? but when in Manchester with the grandkids its fine ,or is it my old ears that's playing up .
