  1. I’ve used Newcastle Lexus for the last 7 or so years for my ISF and my current GSF. Had the 6 year service done on the GSF last week. Absolutely no complaints. From booking in, to the communication when they have the car, to it being returned- faultless. after years of BS from the Germans and the Solihull lot it has always been a pleasure dealing with lexus Newcastle. Then again - it’s routine servicing as nothing has gone wrong. You can’t mess up an oil and filter change can you?
  2. Hi - they are provisionally sold. If they don't go I'll be in touch.
  3. Bump - with a price reduction to £250. see the for sale section for details!
  4. BUMP. Price reduction to £250!! Snow is just around the corner according to the Daily Mail and Daily Express!!!!
  5. Just got my GSF back from its 6 year service, at bang on 50k miles. Plugs changed and some other niggles sorted, including the TPMS that Kwik fit messed (being polite here) up. Cracking customer service from Lexus Newcastle as ever. Picked up, dropped off good communication, and they did exactly what they were asked to do. Ready for another year, with a warranty, and no stress. will be a cracking car for the next owner!!
  6. I had the battery changed regardless - if it’s failed once it’s on its way out. They tested it and they said it was at a low charge level this morning. I’m sure I could have charged it and it would have been fine but better safe than sorry. there was a load of fault codes cleared, all indicative of battery failure. Which is to be expected.
  7. All done, Lexus Newcastle first class as ever, £107! Fitted.
  8. Bloody thing started first time this morning……. still getting a new battery as a matter of course.
  9. Blimey - they don’t like a low charge on the battery……. I haven’t really used the car over the last couple of months, when I have it been to the shops and back and to compound the lack of use we’ve been away on holiday for the last week, so hasn’t moved during that time. I am changing the GSF after 4 years. It’s the longest I’ve kept a daily as it’s been so good, and issue free until today. Jumped in it, started no bother, did some errands, heated seats on for the first time since the spring, had a call in the car, and then went to the local Porsche dealer to have look at a potential new car. went back to the GSF, went to start it got a warning of Park brake unavailable and the usual press brake pedal to start, flashing between the 2 messages then nothing. The blind spot warning light on the wing mirror was flashing really fast, the Rev counter needle twitching and and chattering of relays. Then nothing, again. must known the end is nigh. The techs at the Porsche centre gave me a jump start and got me going- the RAC were going to be 4 1/2 hours……, it’s going to lexus tomorrow to get checked out and a new battery. The cars 6 and a bit years old, and with it not getting a regular run every week or so to Leeds since changing job during covid, the battery has been getting a hammering and likely no real chance to put any real charge back, as it’s really just used around the doors. but let’s face it, in 6 1/2 years of lexus ownership, It’s the first time I’ve ever had a problem, and a flat battery can be excused. let’s hope the new battery lasts as long, and a surprisingly very reasonable £127.
  10. Couple of wheels and a damper - they needed to recoup that spend. Won’t have been cheap!! No wonder they started at £62k……
  11. https://www.facebook.com/groups/2587001601581859/permalink/3347763958838949/?app=fbl looks like it’s not just unlimited to ISF’s…….. time to keep the full Lexus service history up….
  12. A tumble of £1010 or 1.6%……. Hardly pushing the boat out……
  13. A tumble of £1010 or 1.6%……. Hardly pushing the boat out……
  14. looks like a cracking car, and in great condition. Right colour, Face lift, sunroof and option wheels, so as desirable as they come. like the £60K GSF, the dealer's chancing his arm. I'm sure a deal could be done, but depends on how desperate they are to sell, and how much you want it. I'd guess it £4.5-5k over the top of the market. There's a very limited market for all of the 'F' cars (even more so from the events over the past couple of days) , and they won't have a line customers knocking on the door enquiring about it, I'd have a look, see what they say, and make an offer. They can only say no. If you feel its too rich, walk away and keep looking.
  15. Again can’t see a problem with that. at the end of the day it’s worth what someone is prepared to pay for it. sales lesson #1
  16. Don’t understand all the negative comments, they’re doing their job, trying to maximise the price for item for sale. same as any sales organisation. as the saying goes - “shy bairns get nought”
  17. Does you car have an LSD fitted?? on car in the past where I’ve had a LSD, pulling out of a junction, or low speed manoeuvring the diff will grumble, and you could get some tyre scuffing.
  18. An absolute bargain - a real steal for someone. should be at least double that.
  19. Morning all, Couple of weeks ago got a low pressure warning from a rear tyre TPMS. Sure enough it was low, pumped it up and checked the tyre for nails screws and the like - nothing. Tyre stayed up for a week or so then started to gradually loose pressure again. Took it to the local Tyre centre - the ones who's fitters are trustworthy....... - no holes in the tyre but the valve is leaking. Can you replace it? yes...... have you got the right one? yes........ So they put one in, recoded it reset the TPMS on the car and their monitoring system picked up a signal from each of the tyre sensors. The car though didn't, showed no reading and the TPMS light is intermitantly on. Lexus said it would need a genuine TPMS (of course), and it recoded. To give the trustworthy fitters their dues, they ordered a Lexus TPMS and The car went back yesterday. Put it on still no luck, recoded it, Same issue. It really odd, I had the wheels refurbed a couple of months ago, the front 2 TPMS valves were replaced and recoded at the refurb centre - no issues...... Any Ideas??? Apart from use Lexus next time........ Thanks

  22. https://forms.lexus.co.uk/EBrochures/Lexus_GSF_e-brochure.pdf Mesa red was listed in the UK brochure as a colour. Really suits the colour, but as @hockeyedwardsmentions, there is a list of all the cars sold in the Uk with their exterior and interior colour trim. But I can’t recall it having any mesa red cars listed for the Uk market.
