  1. Depend on brand, the tyre rim protectors are more prominent than others. A chunk out of this protector will cause no issue, just be more careful in future :)
  2. I'd stick to the OEM Silver and diamond cut face. Looks the best that way :)
  3. The ribbon attaching to the screen had probably snapped/torn.
  4. So it's easier to steal. Smash the window, shift lock it into neutral and pull it onto a flat loader.
  5. If it's anything like the IS200, then below roughly 18 degrees the car automatically reverts to recirc the air instead of allowing from outside (when you turn the car on and off it will remain in recirc position). You have to manually keep selecting outside air at this temperature setting. If you set the temperature above 18 degrees then it will allow you to keep the option of outside if selected even when turning the car on and off. Try setting the climate control to say face only (and not in auto mode) at say 22 degrees and select outside airflow. Turn the car on and off and see if it stays on outside. If so, try it at the coldest setting and see if it automatically reverts to recirc. Hope that all makes senses
  6. It's so that you can hold it down and move the gear lever out of Park and into Neutral without the keys in the ignition. If it needs to be moved/towed etc.
  7. The offset is 32. And yeah they were quite pricey £960 for wheels and tyres ! Thinking about putting a small spoiler on the car as well. TBH they look more expensive than that, I think you did well there for 19s and tyres! Agree on the spoiler, there's quite a few options for the 250, a front and rear skirt would look great aswell if your wallet allows
  8. I'm in London. what kind of condition are they in ? how much do you want for them? probably the same as your bonnet after that cats been moonwalking all over it! :o
  9. I know you said B pillar but it's most probably the door catch on the drivers side! Wrap a small amount of insulation tape around the catch. It's a common problem and an easy fix :winky: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=66540&st=0&p=717400&hl=+door%20+catch&fromsearch=1entry717400 http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=59003&st=0&p=653304&hl=+door%20+catch&fromsearch=1entry653304
  10. Yeah you can wet n dry sand them with very fine sandpaper and polish them back upto brand new. There's some DIYs of general headlights on Youtube IIRC. Deffo take the orange strip out and replace your bulbs with Chrome/Orange ones. They'll look the business!
  11. Nice wheels, suit the car really well B) , what offset are they? Were they quite pricey if you don't mind me asking...
  12. Does anyone know if any of the 188 IS-F's in the UK have been stolen? I bought (unknowingly) a stolen / recovered IS-F last month so there's at least one. As it was before I bought it, I don't have any details on how they got into it. Was it a bargain Cat-D?
  13. Jack it up and give the tyre a whack with a rubber hammer or equivalent from the under side outwards. Apply copper grease to the back of the alloy/hub face to stop the same happening again.
  14. Supercool B) Love it when a plan comes together :D
  15. I test drove one for the first time yesterday and it's just superb! Cruising at 50mph with the RPM just above tick over on a normal car, now that was B) And the roar of the V8 when you put the pedal to the metal is very addictive. One thing though, why doesn't it have air cooled aswell as heated seats?!
  16. Great DIY! The steering wheel looks ace, where did you get it from Sewells? B)
  17. Sold the IS recently and now looking to upgrade to a newer Lexus, choices choices
  18. It's like having a house alarm fitted but not putting a flashing bell on the front of the property. It's a deterrant, like said previously, no matter what you do, if they want it badly enough they'll have it. Anything that's going to make them think twice and move onto another car gets my vote. but yes if you think that would deter the sort of people that could/would steal an isf then by all means have a huge deterrent tracker sign put along the top of your windscreen for the ultimate protection in baby pink?
