  1. Howdi Jim, welcome to LOC. Try searching for specific details your after and have a look through the knowledgebase for things to look out for.
  2. It's like having a house alarm fitted but not putting a flashing bell on the front of the property. It's a deterrant, like said previously, no matter what you do, if they want it badly enough they'll have it. Anything that's going to make them think twice and move onto another car gets my vote.
  3. Yeah I ran HIDS4U 8000k no probs. Installation is really straight forward and there's plenty of space to fit the ballasts.
  4. Hence why it has a 'Make an offer' option... What's the worst that can happen...
  5. Afraid so buddy , just go for some updated ones (as they changed the design - they have twist covers), or if you find super cheap unaffected ones similar to yours pack the rears of the units with thick grease to stop the corrosion penetrating through again.
  6. Yeah I have 19" Falken 452s on my BMW, great alround choice. :)
  7. lol! Don't ruin your fresh new rubber, get it tracked asap, seems like it's all out of line. WIM normally lists affiliated/recommended garages. If nothings listed, post over in the WIM forum or better still give Tony a ring and see if he knows of anyone in that region who he can recommend. Either way, only goto a place that uses a 'Hunter' wheel alignment machine.
  8. Yeah an armrest in any IS200 is a must!
  9. That's good I saw there advert on price matching aswell! You forgot to add that you sorted your geometry out at WIM and all is well now :winky:
  10. It's probably the ballasts causing the interference as they make a high pitched sound when you turn them on. Try moving the ballasts to a different position.
  11. Maybe make an offer to these guys and get them refurbed like new. Ebay SC Alloys It'll bring your SC bang upto date :winky:
  12. You deserve all the credit, hats off for sticking at it and fixing a problem not even the dealers could be arsed to!! Another gold star for you sir... B)
  13. lol! I just find it useful.. Only kidding bud, we're here to help where we can :winky: On a serious note I hope yours aren't the earlier foglights, they all corrode solid with no way of removing the bulbs. I had to get two new fogs (they changed the design) because of this!
  14. The search function is fantastic: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=15311
  15. Yes they wanted £54 more for less cover. Mike Chaucer Insurance it is then...
  16. I believe ACLex is selling them for around £100+vat There's a thread where he's listed the prices.
  17. I'm no expert, but a tilt sensor is just that right - activated if the car's tilted!? (As mentioned previously, if I jack my car up on the BMW without unlocking the door, the alarm beeps before screaming at me WTF are you doing MR..) So if the car was lifted horizontally it wouldn't activate the alarm? Either way I'd put a sticker to say this lady is Tracked 24/7.
  18. Yeah I've been caught out a few times when I'm swapping my alloys over and the car is still locked and then starts beeping at me to say what the :tsktsk: do you think your doing mate?! Unlock me first lol
  19. Even my old BMW E46 has a tilt sensor, I'd be shocked and :tsktsk: if Lexus didn't put one on the IS-F!
  20. you do know you need to stick the headlights in the oven to separate the lense from the casing to fit them?
