  1. IIRC Parthiban had a similar issue and went down the insurance route. As said above the bill was not cheap! Agreed, delock it and recode the current keys, it'll be your cheapest option out of this situation.
  2. The dealers have always used Castrol Magnitec 10w-40 (Green bottle) in mine. Also just like my old Avensis, it's never needed a drop of oil in between servicing. I wish that was the case with my BMW! :shutit:
  3. Clean the headliner, I bet that hasn't been done and that traps alot of the stink!Maybe the previous owner kept his stinky smoked fill jackets in the boot? Many dealers use what's called a 'smoke bomb' to remove the smell. There like a fogger in a can, its a total release aerosol that is put in the car released and left to do its work, however they normally only mask the smell for a short while. But this is supposed to be really good: http://www.motorgeek.co.uk/dakota-odor-bomb-odour-eliminator-p-381.html Another area to clean out is the steering column plastic shrouding, ash can falls behind it leaving a cigarette smell, also pull the drivers door card off as well, and if possible the area behind the ashtray. Also definately change the pollen filter and spray in the recirculation bit whilst the heaters are on and then turn it off and onto recirc and spray into pollen filter too.
  4. 4 door convertible, nice! lol I wanted to see it with the roof up aswell
  5. No, this is a Mesa Red one bought from a garage in Keighley. The garage specialises in high performance cars, so I thought I would be OK. Turns out they are the most dishonourable people I have ever met. They have refused to take the car back even they are legaly obligated to do so and offered an amount of compensation less than the amount it will cst to bring the car back up to a high standard. Fortunately, it can be repaired, so will take them to court. Hope you found a good one in the end. Sorry to hear this story, I hope you get yours costs back and this dealer gets taken to the cleaners! :tsktsk: Once your case is cleared you should name and shame these cowboys to protect other LOC members.
  6. Earlier 220d's had a coolant leak issue into the engine, so Lexus extended the warranty on that to 5 years and 100 or 120,000.
  7. Not feeling those rims at all I'm afraid :shutit: which reminds me I need to advertise my 18" TTE rims. Good on you for trying a few different mods though!
  8. I had the original Grom Kit and there customer service was good. I'm sure it does what it says on the tin :winky:
  9. Prices are to cheap as there are so many nice examples out there at the moment, especially as there are like 2 or so different facelifts of the original for similar/close money. Like the others mentioned, you'd be better off selling the mods separately as selling it as stock as possible. Good luck with the sale :)
  10. As Parthiban said, there are also many similar style aftermarket alloys which will save you some decent cash over OEM. As long as you stick to appropriate size and spec'd tyres you'll be ok. I was also after an SE-L 450H till I saw how small the boot is! :tsktsk: what a turn off, just about enough for a set of golf clubs and thats it.
  11. I'm not going to getting into the rights and wrongs, but simply answer your question: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=61417 It's quite easy to do, HTHs
  12. Mate, mine does this at times aswell. I think it works off air pressure through a hose or something, maybe Matt can advise further...
  13. Thanks fellas, really appreciate the warm wishes! B)
  14. http://www.nihoncar.com/en/news-950-...+pictures.html looks seriously aggressive!
  15. She's 'different' to put it nicely. Looks like she's recovering from two black eyes, ROFLMAO! (the comments in that thread crack me up....!)
  16. Kinda expensive though wasn't it ? Circa £200 without fitting if I remember correctly.
  17. I've got the Alpine one with two aerials. It's the best one IMHO, I even get signal at 70-80mph in certain areas!
