  1. Hi guys, I've had the Prolex Aux In problem fitted in my IS200 with no problems at all for months.... but now all of a sudden the switch to go between the normal IS stereo and the Prolex Aux In won't switch to the Aux in... when I do I get nothing at all theres just a clicking sound???? If I wiggle the wire that goes from the back of the headunit to the Prolex Aux In box and keep it held I get the use of the headunit, but nothing from the Aux in????? Any help at all would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks
  2. Sorry... but I'm out of this now, please remove me.
  3. Yeah, I think it's a really nice improvement from stock. Thanks :D Scott
  4. Hi mate, My new IS has 18's and has been lowered by I think 30mm. Here's a couple of pics: http://img155.imageshack.us/i/img1056j.jpg/ http://img854.imageshack.us/i/picture2rc.jpg/ Hope they help, Scott
  5. Hi mate, Having had my Is200 since 2002 I went through about 4 OEM gearknobs, all of which worn down over a year or so and it used to drive me crazy.... until I found this on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260755794883&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT It is just like the OEM one only it's a SOLID polished stainless steel gear knob... It feels miles highter quality the the OEM one and costs about the same (I paid £39 inc. pnp). It's a direct replacement for the original and is easy to fit, just unscrew old one and screw on the new one. The biggest bonus is that id does not wear as it is made from solid steel rather than just plastic coated in a thin layer of silver like the OEM one. They come on ebay from time to time but the guy who sells them is on here (not sure who) I just messaged him through ebay. Scott Ps. Fantastic 'custom' version you got there Dave, whats that made using??
  6. One set of A/C rings bought and paid for.... Thanks for the heads up Dave, my old ebay skills must be rusty, I'd looked on there for them for the last week!! hahaha
  7. I was almost gutted when I started reading that!!!! ..... but hell yeah they'll do!! I'm bidding on them now, thanks Dave
  8. Hi guys, I'm after a set of Stainless/Chrome A/C Rings, so if anyones got some lying around or is willing to part with a set on their car please give me a shout and let me know how much you want for them. Cheers Scott
  9. Yours will more than likely be a XE-03(A) as its a 2003 :D Hi Jason, Mine says XE 03 not sure about the 'A' as it just says 'XE 03 on the clocks???
  10. Jason, I'm in mate!! 2003 (03 Reg) IS200 - Want the Sport version. Manual. I'll look at the dial code next time I'm in the car and let you know. Had these on my old IS - best aesthetic mod on an IS200 IMO, make a massive difference!! Cheers Jason.
  11. Hi Mick, I'm trying to find one of these spoilers at the minute, I spoke to Lexus Stockport about the whole SR kit but they want £2K!!!!! At first I thought I wanted the new F-Sport one but on closer inspection of both spoilers on cars parked next to each other at Lexus Stockport I thought the SR style suited lines of the car much more than the F-Sport . I've been looking at the ones on fleabay and have to say the SR style ones rather than the 'universal' type look good to me and £169 painted and delivered is much more like it. Here is the one I'm looking at getting: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  12. I for one LOVE it!! Nice colour too, I saw it in white at Lexus Stockport and it looked stunning in white! You need to post up some interior pics - the seats are my favourite!!
  13. Hi, Thanks guys - I'm not selling them on here as I'm not a Goldie, I just wanted to know how much they were (thanks Janey) before listing them on fleabay. I will be listing them this weekend starting at the price I paid plus p & p so keep your eyes out if your interested. (hope I'm allowed to say that, if not please edit my post). Thanks Scott
  14. Hi, can someone please refresh my memory? A while back I bought a Stainless Steel 'Lexus' radiator panel and 'L' suspension tower covers when there was a group buy but for the life of me I can't remember how much they were. Can anyone remember? I need to know this as I never managed to find time to put mine on my car and they have sat untouched in all original packaging since they arrived. I now have no need for them as I've got an IS250 so I'm putting them on fleabay. I just want to know what is a reasonable price to expect to get for them compared to what I paid. Cheers Scott
  15. Yes mate, defo post up some pics!! Congrats!! Just found this about spec with some pics: http://my.is/forums/f41/lexus-f-sport-euro...-canada-398441/
  16. Hi Steve, Mine is about the same - I've been thinking it was a fault (only just got the car) and was thinking about getting on to Lexus about it. Sounds like this could be common though?!
  17. AWESOME!!! How?? Where from?? How much?? (Sorry for all the questions) Hate wood - Love this!
  18. Keep us all updated on this v7jco, my missus is looking at the minute and the HORRIBLE wood trim in lots of SE-L's keeps putting her off - Would be great if it's affordable to just change the trim Good luck with getting the ISF in 3 years!
  19. Thanks for all the nice comments guys!!! I have to say I am loving owning my 250 at the moment 'smooth as silk' as Johnny777 put it describes exactly how it feels to me, the power delivery and uptake are also really, really smooth - it is an awesome car IMO and I'm sure other IS200 owners would love it too. :D With regard to the MPG, I think it is what it is. Like others have said I don't think its bad for a 2.5 V6, it's better than my IS200 and the benefits seriously outweigh the MPG. I would never consider the IMO boring interior of certain German (BMW & AUDI - I like the inside of the Merc C class) cars for better MPG. Exiled - my other half keeps wanting to drive mine too, she loves it. Thats why she's buying her own :winky:
  20. I saw one in Lexus Stockport last weekend in white - 18" multi-spoke dark alloys, ISF rear spoiler (I want one of these!), different front grille, F sport cloth sports seats (not normal cloth in other IS), full MM, full black interior, F sport stering wheel and gear knob and F badge on the speedo clocks - Looked absolutly stunning!!!
  21. I thought so - it was just the ebay add stated that it was 'plug n play' and 'a must for any IS250/220 owner without Sat Nav' !
  22. Hi, need help please guys - My other half is buying an IS220d, she wanted one with Sat Nav / Multimedia. We have found one for sale that she really like but it has not got Sat Nav, so my question is: If you can get hold of a Sat Nav/Multimedia head unit is it a simple plug n play fit? Here's a headunit for sale on fleabay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LEXUS-IS-ISF-220D-25...=item3efb9b68e2
  23. Hi Guys, I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to every LOCer on this part of the forum that has helped me soooo much over the 8 years I had my Is200. I have just purchased an Is250 so I will be in the 250/220 part of the forum more from now on. Although I'll keep bobbing back here every now and again to see whats new. Cheers LOCers Scott PS. I have just posted this topic about my change over, some of you might be interested: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=64954
  24. @ Valkirk - Thank you very much!! :) @ Kam 05 - Thanks mate. In answer to your question, it's a bit early to give you a full review on the differences yet - but so far, here goes: It is MUCH smoother, it has improved in all areas IMO but it's in the way that it has changed: I feel that it has become a more refined, more comfortable and much more powerful machine. It definitely feels like it has a link to the old IS but with a lot more refined / sophisticated feel. It does not feel as 'rugged' as the old IS (for want of a better word) - this will be to some peoples tastes (like mine - I love the feeling of being in a very expensive feeling / luxurious car) but maybe not to the taste of others who are all about 'feeling the road' (although I think the new one corners much better than MY old IS). Personally I love it!! It is everything I wanted in a new IS. More like a smaller GS. Hope that helps
